Faolain
So I got most of my strapping done today, and decided to try on my fine Trooper1 pauldron. However, it appears a bit flat. I then tried tucking the elastic into the inner bicep hook, and it looks like this: It looks better, but I don't think it's curved enough, and the elastic sticks out a lot in the back. Do I need to trim down the elastic a bit, or am I doing something wrong?
Purplehaze
Looks fine to me. In time they do soften & once you have your backpack on it isn't as noticeable.
LoveMonkey
I agree, give it more time to wear in. And remember, people only want pictures with the front of you. As long as that looks great is what really matters.
trooper1
Correct, if you watch the ANH they were much flatter. Only in the new TFA were they rigid and rounded. Just time, or the strap can be shortened.
Baron
Part of the weathering when I did mine was work it a little to give it a little more of a curve. But it will soften some on it's own.
Airborne Trooper
I have the white pauldron with the sewn sections and I've folded it in to the center and I've also had my kids stomp on it just to break it in.
Pappy
Give it more time to worn a bit, and or shape it with your hands(gently though) Wear it by sliding the edge to the front of you a bit Hopefully this image will help
Rocket
Beat that thing up trooper!!!
Darth Mout
I'm agree...just wait, after some troops your pauldron will look and feel diferent. Question...are you wearing the pauldron on your left shoulder or is it only an optical effect because of a mirror?
jcalus
I rolled mine up and by the next day it had a nice curve.

Fraulein
I rolled mine up in a towel and left it in the warm sun for maybe a week. Then in between wears - I keep it rolled up in the bin. It is slowly curving.
