Courtesy Review of Backpack

I was hoping I could get a courtesy MEPD review of my backpack for potential police officer approval once I finish everything else...

Its not 100% - needed: paint a few screws and fittings, add backs to shells, weather, attach mortar pipe (I'm waiting on caps and the control panel that will come in with the armor), and add top part of sticker for radio dial to glass lens.

Thanks

@ Jeff - Great attempt at your first pack build! everything appears to be in place for the Legion Approval / Standard MEPD Officer requirements. :td:

You will just need to take care of a few details.

Overall, nice start and great work!

1.) Close the gap. Try to get the bottom edge of the top tray section as close as you can to the top edge of the bottom tray section.

2.) You can try to dull the gloss of the overall coat with a matte finish spray. It tad bit too shiny.

3.) If you can, try to match the tape placement on the upper tool box to screen caps to give it a more accurate look.

4.) You will also need to replace / upgrade your radio dial detail / decal. (Depending on if you do decide to go SWAT, plus which screen TD you do select, you might not even need a decal. But for MEPD Standard, you will definitely need one.)

5.) Weathering. (No worries, I know that you aren't done yet.)

6.) You can add the black electrical tape and wire detail around the radio later. (If you decide to go SWAT)

That looks good man. Are you planning on SWAT? Aside from the aforementioned missing caps and det plate, I think it looks great. A few little added details can make it a little better and screen accurate though. Some black tape around the bottom trays, black tab details on the cistern, but otherwise very nice bro :)

Going for standard MEPD right now. This is my first build so it's a learning process.

The radio dial I have right now is the standard Sonix dial with the "top layer" of white lines and text missing. I'm planning on printing that on a clear sticker and putting it on the glass lens similar to a real sonix dial. Will that work or do I need to use the dial with the black triangles as shown on your pack?

We're trying to get more of the newer members as accurate as possible from the jump.

These are the 2 Dial detail choices that are recommended and preferred.

You can order these from Mike at
TROOPERBAY

Good luck on getting your Legion designation and see you here in the Precinct soon! :td: :salute:

I'd echo comments made

Matte paint, seed trays closer less emphasis on tape angles on toolbox

As always my pet hate is the attachment of cistern and the dial I feel isn't approvable

But overall pretty good

Bit concerned with seed trays though they seem to small (narrow in width) to correctly fit all components ?

Your radio n toolbox seem to overhang, a lot ?

But much much better than my first build nicely done mate

Good lyck

I had initially painted mine all gloss to cause it was what I had and I was impatient, but I ended up re-painting it all with flat black. It will look much better after you weather it being flat, it will help give it that older, sun dried used look.

And I agree Scribbler with getting onboard right away. The best advice ever given on these boards is to read through the current and past submissions for both PD and SWAT. Those will tell you EXACTLY what you need to look for.
