Freak Nasty Fester
Do you attach this to the pauldron or to the shoulder straps of the armor? Is there a best practice as to how? Thanks!

SCRIBBLER
There are different ways of attaching pouches to the pack strap. I wanted to use variant packs for different troops so I did this...SHOULDER POUCH ATTACHMENT
iconoclasta_88
Yes. Attach it to the pack strap as said. As for the way to do it, go the way it works for you. I did mine with gaffers tape. As I guess someone would do it on stage giving it failed. Saludos.
Vf2112
That link didn't work for me mike Juan...... I can't believe I never thought of gaff tape Straight to split rivet
Freak Nasty Fester
Thanks all! It worked well. I threaded the backpack strap through the loops on the back of the pouch and then secured it to the strap with black Velcro.

TKZombie
Good info. I think 2" backpack straps would be best for the pack to distribute weight.
Professor Az
Sorry for bringing up an old subject. I'm hoping to be finished and approved for basic trooping before Phoenix Comic Con. I see a lot of pics of Sandys without packs, but still wearing the shoulder pouches. Does anyone here do this? How do you attach the pouch without it hanging off the backpack. I've tried a couple of the suggestions here, and it always hangs off at an angle, instead of vertically like I feel it should. I'm also not thrilled with the idea of drilling into the chest plate.Any pics of it actually attached would be helpful.

I just used a loop of elastic on the back of the pouch that the elastic strap for my left shoulder bell passes through. It hangs right where it should. At least until my pack is ready. (stupid radio face).
LoveMonkey
Mine has been hanging at an angle, and while it's not my favorite (and sometimes pushes my bucket to an angle), it's better than not having it at all. Won't be a problem now that my pack is almost done.

(stupid radio face). I tried that at first, and it pulled my shoulder bell out of alignment. Drooped it about an inch too low. I may have to hard strap it instead of the elastic I have now. Thanks. LoveMonkey
Like I said, it's not the optimal solution but I'd rather have it than not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Professor Az
I switched out the elastic for a hard strap, and put the shoulder bell strap through it and presto, it hangs in the right place at what I think is the correct angle. Thanks for all your help, guys. You're the best.
