Hey All

so a small update Ive slowly put this together, just making sure its all going my way. And here's where it stands so far. Sorry for the pic quality, had to use my mobile phone as the wife was MIA this evening at friends with the good camera....

Will be doing the scope rail this weekend, plus I need to get so slightly longer bolts to help support the magazine to stay firmly on the body instead of relying on just the epoxy glue...

anyways...moving along....

thanks for looking

Jay

some more updates....

Ive started drilling out the hole in the stock at the front, just need to sharpen the edges back now on that but Im pleased with the progress so far.....

The scope rail was interesting to do.....especially the 'L' for the front hole, I've bent it back on itself for more tension,,,feels solid....and removes nice and easy as well, ready to paint....

I've currently run out of epoxy resin glue so thats on the cards this week as wll as proper screws with a flat base for the scope to keep that tidy, for now, I have temp screws in there at the moment.

Thanks Jason

Its amzing how different a few coats of primer have made. Its also a godsend as well because its show a few areas that need a little lovin' so,Im just adding some extra modelling putty to act as 'welds' around the magazine housing where it attaches to the body of the gun and also just filling some small areas where the glue has quite reached. Then a bit of a sand down once thats set and another coat of primer then its off to be coated in silver.....

will post more once Im happy with the next few model tweaks...

update time, spent the afternoon avoiding the showers and the windy conditions. Managed to get the body done in its 'metal' jacket paint job. I need to sand down the cap at the rear as its a bit pitted for my taste....hopefully do that tomorrow. Then its on to the brassy undercoat for the counter and the scope.....

cheers

J
