Batphobic
Hello everyone - Newb here - I see on the "Where to get stuff" thread on this board (here: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4255) mention of someone referred to as "AM" with an email address of troopersupplies@hotmail.com Can anyone provide a review of AM's armor? Good stuff? Thanks!

pandatrooper
AM armor is no longer made. That type of armor was replaced with NE armor.

Batphobic
AM armor is no longer made. That type of armor was replaced with NE armor. Hmmm... Not sure what you mean. I've been emailing back and forth with this guy about possibly getting his armor.

TheKido
I believe he goes under the same email as before but the pretty NON accurate AM armor has been replaced with an upgraded NE armor. It looks ok and fits todays' standards but what you hear most of is the problem getting the helmet to look ok. It comes in three parts for some reason and the round things on the ears simply look to small according to me. But non the less it is a good and pretty accurate armor, maybe not the best according to me but way better than AM. Good luck with the build and welcome to the mepd
DirtyBoy
I'd continue to do some research on what armor Will work best for you. Take into consideration the amount of time to make it will look good, how it will fit you, price and of course lineage.
iconoclasta_88
AM or now improved NE armor is ok but... I mean, it is somehow (and of course evolved from) the FX armor of our days. Even if better than AM or FX, NE armor is not as close to screen used armor as the TE derived, not to mention TM or RS. It is a good armor I guess, but you could get much better options... Also, if you end up going the NE way, as for a lite kit, no helmet... and het a TE derived or RS or TM helmet. Finally, there is an ongoing debate on NE armor with some claims of having recasted RS for some parts. If you need additional info, let us know. Just remember, the best armor is the one that makes YOU happy. Saludos.

Batphobic
Thanks everyone. I'm slowly piecing together the history of the different kits and pros and cons and such. Will continue doing my homework.
EmenyZero
Just as advice from FISD, NE is not on the recommended armor list. Here's some discussion on the NE Armor: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/page-
rottie
Also...NE is for bigger dudes...what is your hight weight body style??...now all armor can be made to fit but it is best to get something close to your size
Batphobic
Thanks. I actually ended up sending MTK my money a couple weeks ago. I assume the box will be here soon. I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs so I figured MTK is the way to go.
