Hey troopers!

Today i like to post my new little project.

This is my second bapty build. The first one is out of the star wars chronicles with the wooden magazine.

Here some impressions...

I think this one is OK but not as accurate as i like.

Now, my Bapty 2.0 is the "propstore" version. The goal is to build a blaster just with the doopydoos kit and without any sterling parts.

I just add an original hengstler counter and of course the scope rail. The rail is out of aluminum because i had some trouble to bend the steal rail....

The main material to model some specific "parts" is green stuff (thanks to OpiWan for this tip!!!) And yes, i have to thank OpiWan again, because for me he

started the bapty-mania:-)

Here is the "original". It is a original screen used blaster...after restoration.

The only thing i'm missing is the feather key in front of the scope raile hole....after holidays i will start the painting and weathering.

But now the little WIP with a lot of pics...

No chance Alex:-(

i have to do 4 little things

- add a real feather key

- add the little plate in the front stock section

- add the sling mount

and i've to reshape my scope....the original is smooth as a baby butt:-)

and of course the painting job, the most but also the most difficult job.

I'll do a bapty-BBQ my friend!

so long...move along

I'll try my best (a very bad phrase in every job reference:-) ) my friends.

Today i'll start with the base coat...tomorrow with the first black layer and then with the reproduction of the used look

I did a lot of research but i found just two different bapty conversions used in the movies. Is anybody out there who knows others maybe with references?

(stupid question, i know. but i ordered two doopydoos kits more and i have two hengstlers in stock:-) )
