Quartermaster
On Saturday, May 4th, 2013, the Empire City Garrison attended a very special Fundraiser on behalf of the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation. Our host for the event was Jacob Cascioli, Owner of Jumpin Jakes in Fishkill, NY. The event was to help the foundation raise some much needed funds as well as awareness for Pediatric Cancer Research. The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation is named after a local boy named Ty, who was affectionately known as Super Ty. Little Ty was stricken at a very early age with Brain Cancer and recently lost his battle with the disease at the age of 5. More on Super Ty's story and the "Muddy Puddles Project" can be found at www.SuperTy.org The Troop was a HUGE success with over 150 people in attendance, of which close to 70 were children. Through the sale of admission tickets as well as auctions of donated Star Wars Merchandise, we were able to raise a total of $1,920 for the Foundation. The following ECG troopers were in attendance... Bob Desimone - Vader Bob Olszewski - R2D2 John Hopper - Sandtrooper (MEPD Officer) David Braun - Sandtrooper (MEPD Officer) Tyler Brinkerhoff - Sandtrooper Gerrit Overeem - Stormtrooper Russ Augello - Stormtrooper Jonathan Diaz - Stormtrooper Ian Regan - Jawa Patrick Delieto - Jedi Lenny Buccellato - MC / Squire Jason Colflesh - Photographer Thank you to everyone who went out of there way to make this event a super success.
