Havoc6538 Posted April 28, 2013 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Not a 501st troop, just a little event I attended with Kent based costuming group Kenturions to help raise money for Demelza House, a local children's hospice. It was a fun run around Brands Hatch racing circuit. We walked around the track with the runners and walkers (got lapped a couple of times) then had pics taken afterwards. It was only a short troop - early start, in armour by 8am, all over by 11am, but a great chance to spend a few hours in the costume to see how comfy it was. The good news is that nothing broke or fell off, (I think I need to add a velcro tab to the left calf to stop it rotating inward) but I am aware of a couple of places that could do with a little padding before my first proper troop at Legoland next weekend. Security detail on the starting line: The hill up to Druids is steeper than it looks... So we paused for a photo at the top to get our breath back before heading down to Graham Hill bend, behind us in this pic. With Demelza House's mascot, Dotty. Who says "the camera never lies"?
