  1. What ??? How did you.... lol congrats is in order i guess !
  2. For this part: Top part of fins of the exhaust port aligned & attached perfectly on the 2nd of the seedtray's 3 ribs.
  3. Hello John, welcome back! I hope what i said, did make you wanna come back to finishing your application. Can i please add one thing that stood out for me? While you’re at it for added accuracy.. it’s the upper fins on your exhaust port, they have to align well with the buldge of the 2nd rib of the seed tray. This would also help it attach to your seedtray better. It makes sense that way too. Hang in there man ..
  4. Congratulations boss @dutchy for this 2nd term. Let’s have a good year folks
  5. Hey, you’re in US? Home Depot should have it. The one brand the community use a lot is rust-oleum. You can even find it in amazon. Another spot on color is color code RAL7031. (European color code, doesnt matter what brand) You basically need to find any paint shops, ones with automated color mixing machine and have them mix it with that color code. i am from Jakarta, and one i use is Jotun (brand). hope this helps
  6. Thank you fellas, won't be possible without you guys! This application is not finished without some nicer pictures. Looking back, from my 501st application, to this SWAT now, i learnt a great deal about weathering, collecting vintage stuff, and most importantly friendship. From the start, sandtroopers have always intrigue me. There's just that "vintageness", in building a sandtrooper set. Friendship wise, I was lucky enough to meet someone in MEPD few months ago and i really look forward to meeting more of MEPDs in the future. Note: I have since toned down the shoes weathering.. my favorite.... Thank you all, move along... move along...
  7. YEASSSSSSS !!!!!! This part here... this one right here is .... HAPPINESS ! i thank you brothers and sisters of MEPD for this. Special thanks to guidance from @Hausi & @Strider. Their constructive advices truly justify the end ! I promise to uphold this SWAT standard status that is bestowed to me by the community. Won't let you all down. & icing to the cake, i was just made the GML for my garrison, Garuda Garrison Indonesia. SWAT will be a title that i will hold high ! Salute brothers & sisters of MEPD
  8. Interesting thread. And i see Mr. Vintage @RoCKo always on the prowl for Vintageness ... I'm in for one of those seed trays if anyone is willing to arrange for this.
  9. Totally agree Jason. If it's coming from our very Intelligence officer, it's legit
  10. Thanks guys, but not just yet! I think i need to add this mystery line onto the ab. To be honest, i couldn't understand the picture at all; but to me, this is a paint line, a mysterious one indeed. What do you guys think? I added it in anyways. Apparently i need to lower the crown on the knee as well: and TAKE 3: This time i brought my T-21 along. Do note, i understand this is a Captain Cantina application. I brought it along for illustration purpose only Thanks for viewing!
  11. SWAT program truly isn't for the faint of heart. i think i have figured out the toning down part now, i will try to de-solidify those parts. I will be back for more.
  12. OK another update, another dremel run to fix the gap of the left ear so that it's more obvious. Some updates that i did over the weekend: - Lighter chest weathering - Added weathering details on the abs - Added weathering detail on the right thigh - Fixed gap on the right ear Added that detail on the crown Some details based on the cantina scene.
  13. Re-visited my DLT-19, i know mine was cleared but i want to be accurate about it and as somebody pointed out, the wires on my DLT-19 were in the wrong places, there should be indents to hold the wires on the t-tracks. So, time to visit my dremel: More updates coming up....
  14. Congrats to both of you @bigwam & @Hausi, you guys will do great. Special thanks to @Felice, and like i've said to you, you are a sandtrooper legend and i really mean that.
  15. You are being too modest Hausi, your weathering is one of the best and you're absolutely spot on. All these while, on the back of my head i really thought (from that reference i know) there was that gap only on the right ear. I will work right on it...
  16. OK here goes, The right side of bucket corrections: 1. Right Side of bucket 1. Dialed down upper crack marks (point 3 star wars helmets reference) 2. Dialed down lower crack mark (point 4 star wars helmets reference) 3. Re-aligned rubber brow, moved it back by 0.5cm 2. Left side of bucket: Horizontal stripe Dialed back horizontal stripe on the left side of the bucket which was a little over pronounced (repainted it actually) 3. Misc: side rivets & neck seal Crotch rivet Last, for now... neck seal That's all i have for now. Sure enough it took quite some time for this 2nd correction; but the weathering part was a re-weathering job & i want it to be right & spot on. Hopefully these suffice. (crossing my fingers).
  17. Thank you guys for the support. Was in US these past month. And on the day when i was supposed to fly back from NY to LA (for the fight home), my NY flight got cancelled; I hit the jackpot: the bomb blizzard hit me. So one flight cancellation led to more travel plans cancelled. I had to wait for a week for my next flight to LA. But now i am back. Hopefully ready for full swing. I will be back with updates. Thank you all!
  18. Hey @henselmonster, i would go for @ross8008‘ mortar tube control panel. cheers..
  19. Finally, the review i’ve been waiting for! Unfortunately i wont be able to do any fixes now as i’m already on my holiday, until next year. I was prepared to wait months for this, but you took the time to review my application Strider and for that i am grateful. I wish you all my fellow TDs a happy holiday, & may it be merry. [emoji120][emoji120] (can’t wait tbh) Forgive me. I feel it again.. the pull to the light..
  20. Hey guys, thanks for these feedbacks! To be honest, i wanted to go straight to submit the SWAT right after my PO deployment but after i re-watched ANH TD scenes, i noticed my weathering was too heavy + the plastic shine was missing. So, this was a re-weathering, especially the helmet. Helmet part was tricky because to get the paint runs & to get the repair cracks emulated, i believe we need a base paint. Agree that some weathering spots might still be too heavy & missing; but am not expecting an all-green application. After all that's what SWAT is all about. It's a continuous learning process. So thanks for those fellas!!! Can't wait really!
  21. Name: Vincent WilliamLegion ID #: TD-17778Call sign: m4vrickGarrison: Garuda Garrison IndonesiaTrooper Emulated: Cantina Captain Hello all, this be my SWAT submission. Please bear with me. 2) Post at least two, nice sized, clear photos of you in your armor at various angles. These photos will be used, in part, to determine if your weathering is satisfactory. Move along... move along Member must currently be deployed as an MEPD Police Officer to be considered. - yes Weathering must be appropriate to screen used armor. Too little or too much weathering will not be allowed. - yes Pack, pauldron, and weapon combinations must match a specific trooper a seen on screen. - yes Pauldron, canvas belt, MP40 pouches: 3. Side pictures & some weathering shots: That's not the middle... i swear... Removed the decals on the Sonix radio 4. Bucket & some references: Side bucket reference: 4. Backpack m4vrick backpack research & build: Additions: Adjusted the shotgun shells on the backpack Revised the weathering on the brexton box. Weathering should be on the bottom, not on the sides. 5. Weapon: DLT-19 References: 6. Misc: canvas strap, shoes, latex gloves, green lenses: Thank you all... constructive criticisms are always welcomed. Sincerely hope you all enjoyed that. Move along... move along...
  22. Interesting fact that i got from the book: while the Tatooine scenes were mostly shot in Tunisia, the alleyway scene (with garindan & troopers inquiring the droids) was shot in Elstree Studio. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
