  1. For the level 1, we should stick with the BMW oil pan for the base with normal Straps. For level 2, I am going to make a base mold and vacform it. As you can see in the reference photos (from the toy), it wraps around the back plate, so this will have to be created and will be more difficult for someone to get to this level. As for the attachment, I am not sure how it will work at this point.
  2. Thank you very much. I could not figure out how to do it for the life of me. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  3. Sure. I can do that. I'm going to put the final pieces on it and whether it and then probably post some pictures tomorrow night. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  4. Sure, I could send you a link. Plus if you want I can take a look and make some comments. Since I am not a sandtrooper I do not feel that it may be right for me to make comments the one you're working on. But it looking at it now the armor is pretty much exactly like what I currently wear. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  5. for some reason I cannot remove the attachment for my signature that has the old pictures on it. Right now it shows two pictures on my signature the newer one has my new logo on it with the older one below it. The one below it was an attachment and I cannot seem to get rid of it. 6. Here you go. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  7. No problem. Is what I love to do. Luckily since I am a centurion level heavy weapons Trooper I can easily convert my armor for the crl pictures with the pack. Plus I already have a Black Cauldron. The pack is very close to being done. Here is a picture of the last piece that had to be design and 3D printed. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  8. How do you remove an attachment from your signature? I have added a new signature image, but I cannot see how to remove the older one (iti is an attachment).
  9. Good start. In regards to the pauldron, do you think we should just stick to a black pauldron? All the reference photos I see show just a black pauldron.
  10. I have asked around and talk to some people on FISD. There are very few people who have the ROTJ armor. I will probably get some in the future so I can be in level 3 magma Trooper, but that's not going to be anytime soon. I am going to post in the 501st legion area to see if there's anyone in the United States who has the armor weathered that I could send it back to four pictures. I am definitely recommending that the level one be allowed to use the other two styles of armor based on the limited availability of the ROTJ armor. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  11. Here is a thought. With the Magmatrooper CRL on FISD (new CRL almost complete), I think they are going to allow ANH and/or ESB armor for the first level of approval. For Level 2 and 3 they are requiring ROTJ. You could make that an option for this CRL. You would probably get more people approved, since ANH armor is so popular. If MEP allowed that, then I could easily pose for a picture for this. thoughts?
  12. Crud. I did not realize it was Return of the Jedi armor. At this point probably best if we find someone who has the armor and weather is it and I can send them the pack to pose for pictures with. Thoughts on that? I could ask Deatrin if he has that former or know someone who does. I do not mind shipping the pack somewhere to be worn. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  13. This is the rendering of the top box that I am printing right now. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  14. Here are the pictures. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  15. Here are some pictures of my current progress. Please note I have not permanently attached any of these pieces yet. The goal for my level one pack is to make most of the parts from pieces that are readily available to people. Some parts have to be 3D printed like the details on the boxes. I am getting ready to print the top box where you see that two by itself will go in. I will post 3D rendering of that box shortly. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  16. I will post pics of the pack today. Only have a few pieces left. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  17. I should have a pack done soon and have our Garrison Commander who is a TD that said he would pose for pictures, if no one has built the pack. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  18. That would be tough for me to do. Either I would have to find some armor cheap to quickly build a sandtrooper or convert my existing heavy weapons trooper armor into sandtrooper. Problem is I would have to retire my Centurion level heavy weapons trooper armor. Anyone know where I can get a used or inexpensive armor set? Haha. How quickly would you need pictures? 19. You have to treat them just like any ABS parts. If it is 100+ degrees and you are in direct sunlight you need to be careful. The material can warp. However, this has not happened to me. Everything I have created from 3D printing has held up great on the packs. Most pieces I print a minimum of 5 layers thick, so it helps with this. I would not worry about it too much around here. A good rule of thumb is if it is too hot to troop in your armor then it might be too hot for the 3D printed pieces.
  20. For me personally, I am now looking for armor to make a TD. I would like to be able to wear the 4 different packs.
  21. I have been looking into vac forming myself. However, I cannot afford one of those machines. Anyone know how to build one or where to get plans for a large one? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  22. The level 2 pack will match the reference photos exactly. Most of the parts will have to be 3D printed. The design process has already begun. Below are the refrerence photos I am using. If I had some from underneath the pack, that would help even more.
  23. Here is where I am at. Still have some detail work. Lvl 2 an 3 will have more detail and a different base. Lvl 1 will be made of more readily available materials. I will post a build thread. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
