  12. Those are great screen shots! Where are they from? Great to see a new armour CRL coming to the MEPD arsenal. Nice work troopers! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
  13. Even though it doesn't say it in the CRL, the case for "core" armour consistently of TK & TD seems like a good idea to me. Plus in this pic it looks like there is a vertical part to the kidney. Just doesn't line up nicely with the posterior. Just my two cents. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Hi john. Great to see you got your photo issues sorted out. Some of the paint on your chest weathering looks a bit too solid, and seems like some "background" dirt could be added. Also noticed something on your left bicep... numbers or logo writing.. So there needs to be more pics. But with that said. You may want to start a thread in the hurtlocker first and we all can go over your armour and help out in any way we can. The hurtlocker was a great help for me as I went through the swat process. Good luck, and I'll look forward to your picks. Jon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Added a seam along the bottom edge and it turned out great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Thank you very much Felice, and the rest of the command staff. Really appreciate all the work you do in the MEPD. I'm extremely happy and proud to reach the swat level, and can't wait to get out and troop. My armours never looked so good!.. really happy with it. Big thanks to all the eyes and advice given. It was extremely helpful!. Thank you for the help and support. Reporting in! TD84414 SWAT. That's awesome!.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Been working on my trooper. - Hand guards with more dirt. - Tape on bicep ( used hockey tape so it is closer to gaffer tape ) - Large Spanish pouch with addition seam. Thank you Felice Jon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Progress report : 2 After a couple of staining coats and black polish, here is the large Spanish pouch. Still working on what that lower front seam(?) is, and have a thread up in the pouches section asking for input.. and here too.. Thanks. Nervous to stitch in a seam just to see if it looks right.. 19. Nice find! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  20. Ya. Some have that front seam on the lid, and others don't. I did it to match the one from the pic you posted. Thanks ! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  21. Yes for sure. That's where I started, and used the measurements from iconoclasta_88 for my build. Just not sure what that extra seam is. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  22. And the dimensions are 3.5" x 8.25" x 1.5" Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Hello all, I'm Jon/ TD84414 and I'm going for swat.. So far so good, but during my review there was a pouch problem.. I had the wrong one. I thought it was a Spanish pouch but it turns out it was French, so I made myself one. Here are some pics Cut the leather on a 45, glued it, and then box stitched it together. The stain I learned about on-line from a British leather smith is vinegar mixed with rusty metal. Any rustable iron/steel will work, but if it's rusty it will be ready sooner. My brew is some rusty tie wire, steel wool, chunk of rusted can, and black sand left over from gold sluicing. Just rub it on and the leather goes black.. may take a couple of coats. I used a thinner leather for the front strap but it wasn't the same colour so it was replaced with thinker stuff. Then bcz I assumed the original pouches would have been weather treated some way, I gave it a nice, but not too nice, of a black polish job. But my question is this.. in my review, it was pointed out the large Spanish pouch has some sort of crease or seam on it. But after looking around it doesn't seem to be on any other pouches I can find. Any ideas on what it could be, of best replications of it? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks troopers! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
