Troop 23: On May 20th, 2017, Garrison Tyranus helped a local school raise some money for the kids and PTA. Many of our members received a good workout on the playground equipment.

Troop 22: On May 13th, 2017, Garrison Tyranus was invited to a local high school in Northern Virginia, to help promote reading and creativity. This was their first comic con and was a great success. Incredible turnout.

Troop 21: On April 22nd, 2017, I traveled to Columbia, MD and got to troop with Old Line Garrison again...and my baby brother, a newly approved TIE pilot. We attended the Howard County Special Olympics 16th Annual Inspiration Walk. My nephew attended too. We are recruiting him early:

Troop 20: On April 8th, 2017, members from Garrison Tyranus, the Galactic Academy, and Alex's Army headed out to Haymarket, VA. Our mission was raise awareness for children's cancer, and to beat the world record for most people doing push-ups in 1 minute. Although the record wasn't broken, a great day was had by all.

Troop 19: On April 6th, 2017, a local elementary school held 80's night and invited the 501st to help them celebrate in style.

Troop 18: On February 24th, 2017, Garrison Tyranus members were able to meet some very brave kids at the INOVA Fairfax Children's Hospital.

Troop 17: On February 18th, 2017, I performed guard duty in Manassas, VA to hang out with the Parents of Autistic Children - Northern VA.

Troop 16: On February 3rd, 2017, my daughters attended a Boy Scout Blue & Gold Award Banquet in Ashburn, VA. My 2 girls were recently approved by the Galactic Academy, and this was their first event as GA cadets. Daughter 1 is a Jawa and daughter 2 is Rey.

Troop 15: On January 21st, 2017, I attended a comic con at one of Montgomery County's public libraries in Maryland. It is a beautiful multi-story library, and the turnout was great:

Troop 14: On December 16th, 2016, I was able to attend the premiere of "Rogue One" at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA

Troop 13: On November 21st, 2016, I attended a very special troop to visit a little girl who is kicking cancer in the butt. 3 Garrison Tyranus members had the pleasure of meeting this brave little soldier.

Troop 12: On October 9th, 2016, I had another solo event, this time with the Parents of Autistic Children - Northern VA. The POAC-NoVA held their 12th annual 5K and carnival in Manassas, VA to help raise funding and awareness for autism.

Troop 11: On October 1st, 2016, I went on a second solo mission and marched with some terrific families. The Children's Tumor Foundation put on a walk in Great Falls, VA to help raise awareness and funding.

Troop 10: On September 18th, 2016, I started trooping back in Virginia again. This was a solo troop and it was a great day. I was able to walk with some folks who were raising awareness and funding for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Event: Cure SMA Walk & Roll Location: Chantilly, VA

Troop 9: August 13th, 2016...the 4th troop in a row with Old Line Garrison. This time at a roller derby in Laurel, MD with the Charm CIty Roller Girls.

Troop 8: On July 31st, 2016, I trooped my 3rd event in a row with the fine folks from Old Line Garrison. Galactic-Con held their first con at a hotel in Columbia, MD and had a terrific turnout.

Troop 7: On July 3rd, 2016, the National Science Fiction Museum hosted their first convention at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD: Escape Velocity

Troop 6: On June 24th, 2016, I attended my first event with an out of state Garrison: Old Line Garrison (MD and DC). Hagerstown City Park had an outdoor showing of "The Force Awakens". We were able to march and meet some great Star Wars fans.

Troop 5: On June 19th, 2016, we attended Star Wars Day at the Potomac Nationals Baseball Park, and got to hang out with some terrific kids from the "Make A Wish Foundation"

Troop 4: On June 5th, 2016, I attended Awesome-Con both as a spectator and as an exhibitor with the 501st. Got to hang out with other Star Wars fans: Got blasted by some Disney Princesses: and met David Prowse!

Troop 3: On May 15th, 2016, our Garrison was invited to "Scouting for Bricks" by the Boy Scouts of America Location: Leesburg, VA My daughters were able to attend too. My daughter's journey to the Dark Side is progressing nicely:

Troop 2: On May 14th, 2016, I attended our local library's first Comic Con. Venue: Cascades Library, Potomac Falls, VA

Troop 1: On May 7th, 2016, I trooped my first event: Free Comic Book Day at "The Comic Shop" in Fair Oaks Mall, Fair Oaks, VA

This thread details the adventures and travels of HappyTrooper (TD-10900) while proudly serving with the Mos Eisley Police Department. My first 501st Legion costume was Sandtrooper armor, I was approved on April 18th, 2016. The following photos were taken on location with the men and women of the 501st Legion.
