  1. One more blue smurf over here. 0.60 gauge and so flexy looks good, but I still prefer my helmet done atleast 0.80 gauge stuff. That is taking most of hammering during the transportations.
  2. Thanks for kind hints. Well, I have prepared to do glue-work, but have to first be pretty sure how well parts are fitted. Right now my project is on very early stage. Almost all parts are dremelled out. Helmet is untouched and it will be the next thing on tomorrow which will meet my Black & Dekker + Dremel. Lot of sanding to do and then the assembling. I found that I cannot do sanding with Dremel. It always spins far too fast. ABS just melts and does not give smooth edges to the parts. Already I have few times activated my smoke-alarm with ABS cutting and my neighbours must be very happy of this high dremel voice.
  3. This topic was a really good find. I'm with my AP on same situation. Rough cuts are almost completed. Next some sanding of surfaces and glue-work. However I'm no sure do I glue all surface together or using original velcro attachment on leg parts. That would save some room when packing the armor.
  4. Hi, I'm Kai from Nordic Garrison. Not much sanddunes over here, but usually during the wintermonths, we do have plenty of white snow. So that's why my primary costume is now the snowtrooper. However I'm also Imperial Officer and Sith Lord on 501st. One ready red Royal Guard costume is also standing on my living room. I should get tomorrow AP stormykit, -thanks for TD252, and I might convert it later as TD. This MEPD board feels very good resource to find ideas foar any stormy building-project. Looking forward to chat with you troopers!
