  1. Hey, the seed tray has a width of about 36,3cm incl. the lip. Hope that helps!
  2. Okay, on behalf of the CS I feel the need to step in here... First off, Lee is a respected member of this community so if you @woodman can not provide any substance to your claim of collaboration I bar you from repeating this accusation. Secondly and more importantly; @Cipher (ToscheTraders) will be given time until the 20.08.17 eob (GMT) to provide counter-evidence that he did not in fact recast Woodmans Sonix Victory radio but used another original Sonix radio to make the mold. The evidence will then be evaluated by the MEPD Command Staff team and an assessment will be given. Failure to provide any counter-evidence by the given date will result in an acknowledgement by default that the full charges as presented by Woodman apply.
  3. I've just fixed the pics in the pack build with original parts and the grey-blue color thread
  4. Here's an excerpt from the original picture without the color filters:
  5. Looks great, man - this one will be fun for Felice to review
  6. yeah well, if you use pictures where a color filter has been applied as a reference you will inevidibly get the wrong results. I'll post the original unaltered version of that pic once I'm back from my holidays.
  7. Well, I haven't seen any evidence that would contradict my findings ;-) Unfortunately most of the pics are gone due to photobucket and I haven't found the time to update all of them. The battleship grey fits perfect IMO because you can see how it changes color in direct sunlight (rather blueish) whereas if not exposed to sunlight it keeps the grey color we can see in the unaltered 1977 ANH version. Cheers
  8. You could try Imgur or rent a server space of your own (which I have done). Renting your own server space and internet domain is not that costsly only a few EUR per month.
  9. Hi troops, big things are in the making! We're planning to move our site to a dedicated server which would make everything faster and much safer (in regard to glitches and downtime). Unfortunately, to get this accomplished we're in need of capable hands as our current web support can not do it single-handedly. Please let us know if you feel you're up to the job of the "Master Chief" ! Thanks!
  10. Yes, I noticed today as well. This really kills probably 80% of the threads of all forums (not just the MEPD). I don't know why they decided to nail their own coffin but I can't see anybody paying 400 USD yearly for a service that you can get for free from other hosters. I have my own domain and I'll host my pics on there for the future. Also I'll try to update the pics in my most recent threads.
  11. This is really exciting! I'm very much looking forward to seeing the first applicants:)
  12. Sure thing. I think somebody else also inquired about some measures so here goes:
  13. Off to a great start, bro! Looking forward to seeing this come together. Be prepared for a lot of work, lol
  14. Thank you for your kind words gentlemen, much appreciated! Btw, I forgot to mention; the Shires UP 100 syphon I had was a bit too long (about 2 cm) and needed to be shortened. So when you're looking for an accurate syphon I'd recommend the 90 version (not sure if there are 80ies as well). Cheers
  15. Yep, exactly. As long as you can back up something with references you're covered. But too often it's not quite that easy because even in a particular scene the setup keeps changing (e.g. the pre- and post break move along trooper). 4k would definitely be great but it remains to be seen if that would really improve the clarity or just blow up the number of pixels. In any event, the packs were all destroyed right after shooting - unfortunately even in the LFL archives they don't exist anymore. The only accurate replica trays out there atm are the ones that Ross (RWA) just casted based on the originals. Afaik he used 2mm hips which should be durable enough to hold them with zip ties as well. But if you decide to make the version with bars my hunch would be that it would be accepted - but I can't guarantee that ;-) Cheers
  16. No worries, thorough research is what SWAT is all about. Re the right side bracket, to me it still looks black on that picture. A little bit of the black is rubbed off so you can see just a little bit of aluminum shining through. I know the other picture you posted but I'm not sure what's going on there. I suspect it's from a scene just a few minutes later where they added some additional tape. On the unfiltered pictures below you can see the pattern pretty good. Also on the second one you can see the left black bracket pretty well.
  17. That bracket does look pretty black to me...
  18. Hey Lee, great to hear that you're aiming for SWAT with a backpack. Most troopers try to avoid that these days ;-) The challenge for SWAT is that there are no clear cut CRL other than to resemble the troopers on screen as close as possible. Moreover, it is an unwritten rule that with each application the bar is raised higher incorporating the additional research and findings of this application. That said, there are certainly limits and availability of parts also comes into play. Generally our DO makes the decision what is acceptable for SWAT and what isn't but this is my opinion: 1) No, not required but certainly a nice touch 2) This can be painted black. Gino and I just like to be uber accurate ;-) 3) Not sure which bracket you're referring to but basically it's all about reference pictures 4) Hm, tough one. Personally I would rather like to see a pack without bars but that decision is up to Felice and Scribbler. Hope that helps.
  19. Good luck, bro! Love the accuracy of your DLT-19
  20. Drums please.... it's finally finished Reference pics for this build: Hope you like it
  21. This is how I shortened the bottles. Not really a "how to" guide but the best I could currently come up with... Building the mounting rack for the capacitators. I used a dremel to drill out the oval parts for the capacitators to sit on:
