Nice progress, Björn! I remember when I did my first build - cutting that ABS in the correct shape was absolutely nerve wracking for me because I always feared cutting off too much

Hi Vince
Thank you for your interest in joining the elite and submitting your request for SWAT OFFICER
activation. Also it seems you'd be the first SWAT trooper to be cleared from our Indonesian outpost!
I really enjoyed following your journey and passion of getting your gear up to the highest standards and to join the elite forces.
The MEPD Senior staff members and myself will give your armor a full inspection and review.
Some details may definitely be missed and re-checked, but we will try to catch them on every pass given
until you are cleared and ready to join the Special Weapons & Tactics Team, brother!
So let's cut right to the chase...

Generally really good job on the helmet just a few things worth pointing out:
- You'll need to dial back the paint run and crack on the right side of the helmet (points 3 and 4 in the star wars helmets overview)
- The edge trim should go a a bit farther back, I would say about 0.5-1cm. Also the weahtering in the corner where the edge trim meets the ear should be lightened up a little (please see reference below)
- The large horizontal paint run on the left side of the cheek is a bit too pronounced and should be scaled back a bit
- Lastly, could you please post a picture that shows the gap at the right ear a bit better (see comparison shot below)

Weathering: The weathering looks really good and matches the emulated trooper quite closely. However, as others have mentioned the chest weathering needs to be dialled back just a bit.

Game, set and match! The backpack with all the new discoveries lately constitutes a big challenge for many troopers. However, you have mastered this elemental part of the gear with flying colors!

Although we encourage to emulate the Bapty version of the DLT-19, the old version is of yet still clearable.

Looking good so far, Vince. I would say for the most part those should be easy fixes so I'm looking forward to the next and possibly last round
Cheers,
Constantin

Looks great!

Hey bro,
this is an outstanding build and I'm always happy to see some thorough research
I have 2 observations at this point: The first is the frame; with my pack the 2 lower seed trays are actually pretty much squeezed between the lower bar/curve and the bar on top. As a matter of fact, I had to bend the frame to a certain degree in order to make them fit between the two. This means if you still have some space left on the top you probably have to lower the upper bar.
Besides all those faboulous parts, the exhaust port does stand out a bit. It needs to be at least 1cm if not 1.5cm wider. I'm not sure about the other proportions but it might help if you could put it on the seed tray next to the bottle&cap to see how it fits lenght-wise.
Cheers

Awesome! John, I'll be sending some pics from some shootings we did your way

Wow, great news for sure! I'm looking forward to welcoming our first new members
-
Awesome job! Welcome to the ranks, buddy
-
Good job! Let's see how this social media thing works, haha ;-)
-
Yeah, we should really pick this up again...
-
I love the pack, man - that one's truly worthy of SWAT! I also like that you did a trooper and pack that hasn't been done yet for SWAT.
Shouldn't be long now
-
The weathering looks ace - stellar job, bro!

Ah yes, sorry. I forgot to mention it which might have been a bit misleading. I really had to bend it a lot to barely squeeze those seed trays in...
-
Awesome, looking forward to seeing your new pack come together You're definitely off to a good start, bro!

My opinion is that the Karrimor frame doesn't need a bend as it already has one. You'll see how Strider assembled his pack and it will make more sense when you see the side view. You will need to trim the top of the frame down by quit a bit though, but that's pretty standard for most of the pack types.
Oh, au contraire mon ami I needed to give it quite a bend so that the seed trays would fit...

Thanks for the heads up.
On that note: just scored a Karrimor pack. Should arrive next week.
Where can one get accurate seed trays? Best place? Suggestions?
Ross/RWA offers them over FB (he's also on the forum). He made molds working from my original seed trays.
