I just picked up on of Fieldmarshall's new all aluminum blaster kits. This is a thing of beauty. Since I'm building my new Bapty out of this kit I have some (a lot) of parts left over. Luckily I just so happen to have an unfinished Doopy kit so I will be using my unused parts from the FM kit on the DD kit. First up, the Tunisian "Bapty" E-11 (Sandtrooper Blaster) I got these wonderful cast aluminum parts from @bigwam. The grip and rear end of the blaster will be solid aluminum. Need to do some finishing work on these but I am so excited to have a Bapty made with real cast metal parts. To go along with it I have a real magazine. A great replica Hengstler (courtesy of Field Marshal again). A real Sterling folding stock. and a real 1942 M38 scope. Got a lot of mods ahead of me on this one. But I'm excited to have a fully metal Bapty build. Hard to get in the states without re assembling a cut up Sterling. Next up, the standard E-11 This is a blend of the rest of the Fieldmarshall parts and the Doopy kit. As much as I would like to, I doubt ill be able to get the bolt to fit in this thing sadly, same with the barrel, so I will probably be selling those parts off. Keep an eye out if interested. I am super impressed by the kit. It is super fun to put these parts together, the folding stock and grip/trigger were so much fun to build. The grip details are insane. And it came with switches and whatnot to put electronics in it. This second kit should pull together much faster than the Bapty. But this will probably be my new main trooping blaster. The Bapty will be on display in my Sandy shrine lol. I'm excited to start these builds fast so I can get to my favorite part, the weathering. Thanks to Fieldmarshall for such a cool kit, sorry I'm splitting it up, I know some are probably thinking I'm crazy of doing it this way, but Sandy's are my first love and I'm going to uber accurate on that blaster.

TD2190 is a Legion member approved by the UKG, but he has not requested 501st access or Sandtrooper access yet. Just to clear that up. He is perfectly eligible to apply for PO (granted he places his 501st forum access soon). All the DOs are asking for is updated photos of certain pieces of the armor. Once he does that and re-opens his application the approval process can proceed. Its all in his court right now!
-
By presentation, what was meant was yours was missing was certain photos requested by the DO. From what I can see from the application you deleted, you were asked to provide photos of: Green Lenses on Helmet Neckseal Snap on Ab Plate (the right top one) Rubber Gloves Latex Handguards (show they are made of rubber by flexing them in a photo) Side photo showing the gap between your ab and kidney plate (wearing armor with arms raised to see the fit) Pack photo, just the pack alone with decent lighting to see the details, the lighting is a bit dark in your photos These are all pretty standard in applications, it was just a request so your application could move forward, it has nothing to do with photo quality or how it was presented. The DOs frequently ask applicants for more photos so they can see what they need to see. Its not an attack on you, just the application process.

Nice! Any spare patches you'd trade for a Twin Suns Patrol patch? Lol That arm band is a great idea......mind if I "borrow" the idea??

SOLO - Mimban Trooper CRL Development
henselmonster replied to henselmonster's topic in Mimban Trooper Armor
Thats a fair point. We will consider it. Typically we encourage the building of packs and accessories to further your skill sets, but we are also bound by screen accuracy and representation. We treat our level 2 (police officer) as a way to show that you have completed all aspects of a deployed trooper, armor, blaster, and pack. Our level 3 (SWAT) is for complete screen accuracy, its standards are held higher and higher as we find more accurate information. Weathering patterns, imperfections, unique props and additions, etc. It is probably the hardest level 3 in the entire legion. For basic approval most accessories will be optional, and basic is all you need to get out there and troop! -
SOLO - Mimban Trooper CRL Development

We are thinking of treating the packs the same way we handle the ANH Sandtroopers. Considering many Sandtroopers don't wear packs too. For Sandtroopers packs are not required for basic approval, for level 2 they are required, and for level 3 they are only required if the on screen trooper you are emulating wears a pack. It will probably be more or less like this for the Mimban, but maybe a little different since there are so many variations of this trooper. -

11B30B4’s RO Crystal Patrol Pack Build
henselmonster replied to 11b30b4's topic in Crystal Patrol Field Pack
Glad you posted this over here! You are looking great. A lot of hard work went into this and it shows. Agreed not to beat the dead horse, totally understand why you wouldn't want to dirty up your kit. That is 100% up to you. The rule isn't necessarily only "dirty" stormtroopers come to MEPD, its slightly more complicated but I guess thats an easier generalization. The history of the MEPD is its own thing we won't get into, but where the MEPD is now is a much different place than it was just a few years ago. We are super grateful for the heavy lifting over at FISD for this pack, many of us participated (there or on Facebook). I have held the stance that this pack, while belonging to the MEPD in the form of the Crystal Patrol Trooper, should also be an optional accessory for the R1 troops as a compromise. Now that is not for me to decide and it is only my own personal opinion. The other thing about this pack and the MEPD is we still need a CRL model. We already have one for the Jedha trooper and the new Mimban trooper from Solo, but this one is still eluding us. Should you eventually want to help create this CRL with us we welcome you and have a locker in the MEPD break room with your name on it! FISD and MEPD have worked in tandem for many years, we have a great relationship with the command staff. The new direction for the MEPD was decided by both detachments not too long ago. We are still adjusting to the new expansion of this detachment. While it is our origin, we are no longer just the Sandtrooper detachment. Thank you again for posting this and your progress, it will be incredibly helpful for those pursuing this pack. You did an excellent job!
