  1. I have a very long waiting list but if you want hyper-accurate Power Cylinders you could look here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24179-screen-accurate-e11-power-cylinders/ You need to be a member of FISD to view the sales pages but not to view my Research thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/17306-e-11-power-cylinders-research-thread-renamed-from-3-central-fuses/ Or to download my Research PDF: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s53lnuh9rq5xe7a/E11 Power Cylinders Analysis.pdf Cheers, Andy
  2. Yes, the first 2 photos are good photos to have for the base. However the Power Cylinders on them aren't original or screen-accurate. If this is to be a resource for builders to make accurate replicas I'd suggest labelling photos as "original", "part-original" or "replica" Otherwise people might accidentally use a photo of a replica as the basis for their build. Cheers, Andy
  3. Nice one Felix I think it's worth mentioning that the first two photos are Bapty recreations so only the base is original, not the Power Cylinders, T-tracks, etc. And the eighth one down (showing a close-up of the Power Cyinders & the Hengstler resistor) is one of my replica blasters so although it's screen-accurate, none of it is original. Cheers, Andy (PS - It looks like the other thread got deleted)
  4. Awesome project Brian Subscribed here as well & really looking forward to seeing your photos... Cheers, Andy
  5. Hi Felix, They were one-piece cast aluminium, just like the receiver plug. You can see in the photo below where the paint has scratched off. I have your set of resin Shape D Cylinders modded, painted & weathered: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24821-screen-accurate-resin-budget-power-cylinders-for-e11s/page-8 Would you like them? If not I'll put them up for sale. (I sent you a PM on FISD a few weeks ago but you must not have seen it yet). Cheers, Andy
  6. Just the publicity photos of the E11 you've recreated. I've posted them all on MEPD & FISD but here's the folder: http://s1125.photobucket.com/user/PlayfulWolfCub/library/E11%20photos/Tuninisan%20E11 It might help you get more people interested in Shape D resin Cylinders to encourage me to do a run of them! lol Cheers, Andy
  7. Lovely work Dan, right down to the screen-accurate casting seams & shape of the resin sprue If you want even more crazy detail while you wait for Cylinders, you could add the resistor to the front of the Hengstler. Here's a close-up of my replica to see what I mean. Check it against the various photos of the original - it's tiny & blurry, but it's there: Cheers, Andy
  8. Hi Dan, I'm posting the same info here that I posted in your new thread, for neatness That E11 does have a cocking handle of sorts - it looks to me like a short slotted screw. Here's a shot zoomed in. If you look at this photo of what I believe is also a genuine Tunisian E11 you can see a hole has been drilled for a mock "cocking lever" to fit into. Here are 2 others. The T-track, rail & scope aren't the originals but I believe the "cocking levers" are. The top one looks like a random bit of hardware pushed in the hole & the bottom one looks like a sort section of rod or tube with a screw screwed in, like the Harrison Ford promo photo E11 but a bit longer. Hope that helps with your question. Cheers, Andy

  10. Hi Felix, These photos are all of the same Tunisan E11 (the top one in "The Chronicles of Star Wars" photo). Other images of Tunisian E11s exist which may be original (including some close ups) but Harrison Ford holding this one proves that it's authentic. You can find my versions of this E11's Power Cylinders, scope rail & magazine on pages 12 to 15 of my "E11 Replicas" PDF (although I don't yet have a cast rear section yet so they're just on a standard Sterling body) Happy New Year! Andy
  11. Hi Damian, I have an interest list for budget resin casts of my Cylinders here. Hopefully the first run will be in January, if there's enough interest. Cheers, Andy
  12. Hi Felix, Thanks for the photo. You're right, I haven't copied those Power Cylinders because they're reproductions, not originals and they're not very accurate. It's a lovely prop & whoever bought it will really enjoy it but it's not a true representation of what the original Tunisian E11s looked like because only the base gun and scope are original. (I'm not accusing The Propstore of anything - they do state that their E11s have been dressed with reproduction greeblies.) Apart from the Power Cylinders other inaccuracies are ( a ) The T-tracks are slightly idealised, ( b ) The original Tunisian E11s didn't have genuine magazines like that one - they had wooden dummy magazines as required by Tunisian law and ( c ) The scope rail is wider than the one on the only original Tunisian blaster we have clear photos of. Phew! I'm always open to people suggesting I've missed something with my Power Cylinders research but I'm relieved when I can explain that I haven't Cheers, Andy
  13. Would you like me to put you on one of the order lists, Damian? The easiest would be to post in the FISD sales thread but if that's not possible, please let me know if it's the metal or resin version you're interested in, which Shape (A to E) you'd be interested in and, if you're interested in a metal set, which capacitors you'd like fitting & whether you'd like unweathered or "PDF weathered" like the examples in my Replicas pdf. Thanks Felix I'm not quite sure what you mean about a missing "Propstore Bapty version" though. All the E11s in ANH were made by Bapty and all ANH E11s that have been sold by the Propstore have replica Cylinders & T-track. To my knowledge I'm offering every variation of original Cylinders that we have a clear photo/screenshot of. Which version do you mean is missing & where do you mean it's missing from? Can you post a photo for clarity? Cheers, Andy
  14. Thanks Juan. I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Andy PS - Are you ever tempted to use the screen-name Juan Solo?
  15. Thanks Dan I never get tired of seeing the "METALMITE" text peeking through under the Cylinders
  16. Hi Guys, I've had an in-depth research thread about the E11 Power Cylinders/Cells/Targeting Sensors on FISD/WhiteArmor.net for a long time now. I've just discovered this Sandy site & thought I should post links here for anyone who may have missed them. Drop by & say "hi!" if you haven't already visited. Cheers, Andy The main Power Cylinders Research Thread is here. A 39 page downloadable pdf containing most of the project research and conclusions is here. A 21 page downloadable pdf of my finished E11 Replicas (with five different Power Cylinders variations) is here. (Full acknowledgements of everyone who has contributed to the project are on the final "Credits, Thanks & Links" pages of both pdfs.) A sales thread for screen-accurate & authentically made metal Power Cylinders is here. An interest thread for screen-accurate resin Power Cylinders is here. My Power Cylinders website is here - (it basically summarises all the above content in one place).
