I'm still very new to the world of trooping and unlike most on this forum I have a lot to learn. My interests other than trooping include playing football, watching hockey, and earning a few extra bucks from work the occasional evening after school. Although I'm not yet a member of Vader's Fist I do intend to get a suit and join the rest of the sandies. See you on the dunes.

  1. Hey Sam, So the cheapest you can get but still have quality is ATA but it has an eight month wait (which I'm currently on). The next best option would be AP from mark which is 800 untrimmed and 1000 trimmed. Like others have mentioned RS and TM are in the 1000 to 2000 range which can do a bit of damage to anyone's bank account. Cheers- Ethan
  2. Billy thanks for the list your awesome! Vf2112 thanks I'll make sure I add that to my list, and my armor isn't due till may but i will do a build thread. Smally are lexan scissors better than using tinners snips? iconoclasta_88 i can delete this thread if you like to avoid confusion.
  3. Hello everyone, I wasn't quite sure where I should put this thread, but I'm trying to compile a list of all the tools and supplies I will need to build my TD armor I'm getting in a few months. The kit is just an untrimmed set of ATA armor from Terrell and I just need to know what tools I need like a dremel, rivet gun, and exacto knife as well as materials like canvas for the shoulder straps, a canvas belt, snaps, rivets paints, glue, etc. Thanks for the help everyone!

  5. I guess TM and RS are both okay in their own regards but, if your striving for on screen accuracy (or to be a bobble head) the real question is FX or ANH v2
  6. Always exciting to read threads about new inductee's
  7. Well if you want a Dlt-19 you'd better hurry! I was talking to Lewis (slavefive) and his mold is toast with limited numbers of Dlt-19's left. So if you want a hyperfirm you should contact him. P.S. I've got one reserved for myself and I'm excited to see it in the coming weeks.
  8. Yeah if he's a member of the 501st your best bet is to do a Nick name search in the member search engine like Juan said.
  9. I think it looks great!! The only thing i would tweak is probably sanding/trimming down the teeth so they look more square but then again thats more of a personal preference. Also until someone else with a lot more experience tells you what to do heres a link to some stuff for the ear gaps if there really bothering you its from trooper bay and its called zap a gap and is specifically for these types of things. http://trooperbay.com/2-ounce-zap-a-gap-ca-glue/
  10. Do you know who I could email for questions pertaining to this armor. And in no way am I talking about buying it or anything because, that would infringe on the lucasfilm/disney copyrights
