  1. Not been able to do much on this yet, my wifes started costuming too, so been spending all my time helping here out. I got a 3d model which I'm gonna get 3d printed for the box and ammo port. Will post pics once I get them done.
  2. While I'm waiting for my materials to turn up, thought I'd have a play with Autocad, some card and a scalpel while eating lunch at work and threw this together:- this is to go on the opposite side to ammo box. hopefully will get this mod completed on Sunday otherwise it could be a while as I got a busy month trooping ahead.
  3. I will need to order new end caps and control panel, as they were polywelded to the mortor tube got plenty of tubing left to make a new one. will send TM a message to see if he can send me the bits.
  4. As usual my brains gone into 'If its worth doing, its worth doing properly' mode and I'm maybe thinking about going into to much detail on this. gonna practive with some carboard to see what I can come up with. Got ssome lovely close up photos as reference. Will let you know how I get on.
  5. For the ammo port/box, should it be a solid box or should it be more like the original? I'm not sure what was used in the films as I can't get a clear enough screen grab.
  6. Neckseal is faux leather and came from rebelscum workshop. Just send him your neck measurements and he custom makes them.
  7. The canvas straps were 'Tea-bagged' I will harshen them up, or will submit my elastic straps which are more weathered. I will have to get some materials for the DLT Ammo box and upgrades....gutted that it is the weapon thats now holding the submission up

  9. Nick, I've sent you the high res version of the logo, spent today tidying it up a bit. and I'm happy with it now. I would be really chuffed if this got made into a patch. Jawabusters, Who you gonna (sand) crawl!...... get it.......
  10. I'm happy either way with the color of the pauldron flag, but there's been numerous versions of the union jack in the last few years with different colours. and since the union jack is so unique it doesn't need explaining. I think incorporating the seargant, captain and private colours keeps all troopers happy, without anyone saying 'but sandtroopers never worn red or blue pauldrons'.
  11. Under the avatar to the left of the posts, how do you get sandtrooper? currently I have 501st only, but noticed most have Sandtrooper and police officer. I know I havent applied for Police officer .....yet, but would like the sandtrooper label.
  12. I like the variation on the pauldron, better than mine and definately think it has better visual balance, what does everyone else think?
  13. Nick, I generally like the design, however there are 2 things that I think could be considered. The first would be how about an orange white and black union jack pauldron (covers captain, seargent and private colouring), not my favourite idea but one that is worthy of discussion. Second is to do with composition, I will post a picture shortly, but a generall rule for people in photos is for them to look into the frame rather than out, otherwise people wondar what they are looking at. I would suggest moving the trooper to the left and rotating him anticlockwise so he is looking across the frame rather than down. I would then move the suns to the front of the trooper too. I will do a rough mockup to show what I mean. Again this is for discussion only and is my opinion, so take it or leave it. and I'm up for a UK Squad.
