Where do you stand with your submission? -
That is so awesome. Gonna need those as a t-shirt, patch, and wallpaper please.

More Accurate than SWAT.... is it possible?
Airborne Trooper replied to iconoclasta_88's topic in The Barracks
I can see this being a cool badge that is a MEPD exclusive thing. Not CRL or level but just a unique identifier. Don't think it's something for me personally but it is a cool concept. -

Awesome work! Love that T-21! I'm definitely going to need one of those some day. -
New to MEPD, starting ANOVOS build
Airborne Trooper replied to mikelbrierly's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
Get a clean mason jar or baby foot jar and put some small pieces of abs in and then add just enough acetone to barely cover it. Wait an hour or so and mix it with a craft stick or something similar. I always let mine sit overnight and I bought some cheap throw away craft brushes from walmart to brush the paste on. The smoother you get it on the less pain to sand it. You want to let the ABS paste dry for a day. If you rush it it'll be spongy like texture. Need to give it time for the acetone to fully evaporate.- 51 replies

If you think about it, a sandy started off clean and shiny but went out to the dunes to do real work. You don't get too dirty on an imperial cruiser in space. -
That is awesome! You have some skills! I would love that as a shirt. Any chance you can make the colored version in multiple sizes for a desktop background?

Everything is looking good, you'll go crazy overthinking things. Try to keep some scrap ABS for potential ABS paste- 51 replies

No way I could ever go clean with my current kit. Way too many scratches and imperfections that are strategically covered. -

Awesome work, nice to see a face since I've only read your posts or heard your voice for years now. -

For basic entry you can remove the 4th button with the part that comes with Anovos. It's not perfect by any means but it'll get you basic entry. I would highly recommend hitting up Walt from WTF on whitearmor or one of the many great vendors we have in the community for the real part though. We like to show off the slit that the 4th button hides on our armor

That's why I can't recommend Anovos after the Celebration pricing. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice kit that has been sterilized of "imperfections" but their normal prices are ridiculous.- 51 replies

Looking great! If you get stuck on something, one of our SWAT members ukswrath has a very detailed Anovos build thread over on whitearmor- 51 replies

Suspenders, that's old school!

I used 2 inch white elastic but doubled it up to eliminate some of the extra elasticity, mostly for the shoulder bell attachment so it wouldn't pull it and create a bunching effect.

I built my sandtrooper to Centurion specs but obviously ignored/added features to make it a sandtrooper. -
I love my hyperfirm. I just wish they would make a bapty version. I'll have to get a bapty soon anyways but no way I'm spending that much and risk getting it damaged at a troop.

Swap out the screws that came with the thermal detonator with the screws on the ears. It's more accurate. You obviously won't need the thermal detonator for a sandy though.- 51 replies

Get the sewn on. The Dritz #10 are very easy to find. -

Trooperbay MP40 pouches

I can vouch for blaster8266 as well. I picked up two leather MP40 and the cloth one with the little pouch. Top notch quality! -
