Well... calling it a do over on the sandtrooper bucket. I'm not 100% happy with the way it turned out. It looks cool but I think I need to change my game plan. I have all the materials to do another one I just have to buy another kit. It kinda sucks but I know the next one will be 100x better. Heres to trial and error...

Just finished the weathering. The only thing I can say to the noobies like me is if you go the trooperbay way I wouldn't use the slate colored sand. Not saying you can't but I thought the my helmet looked just fine with out it. Just my opinion. Well let me know what you think...

Just got my amp and icomm today!!! I cant wait to tourcher the wife and kids with it. Hopefully I can get the weathering done sometime this weekend. After the helmet is done I promised the wife that I would hold up untill after the summer is over but ill be back at it in the fall. Thanks again for everyones help. This is becoming more and more real as the days go on.

What can you guys tell me about a helmet fan and a voice amp. The fan im sure I can get from best buy or a comp store. The voice amp I'm not so sure of. One with a static burst would be cool but I'll take a regular one also. What is 501st approved for voice amps.

Hey all. I need some guidance. Started my armor build and I'm just about done with the helmet. I've noticed a lot of things can be bought but what about the blaster? Ive skimmed through some of these posts and I'm seeing a lot of hand made. I'm trying to buy everything I need so when I drop the big $$$ on the armor I'll have everything I need after its put together. Thanks, Ryan

Quick question... Do I paint the grey rounded squares on the helmet or just use the decals from trooperbay. The blue lines will be decals because I think painting those would be a pain. Going to buy mt helmet the first week in Oct!!! Want to have everything ready just incase I have to order from different sites. I found this site for assembly http://dk-stormtrooper.piczo.com/?g=25476461&cr=5 and it made it look pretty easy. Lastly, puting a fan in the helmet. I havnt researched it much but it sounds like a great idea. So this wasnt a quick question, oops... Feel like a kid again

Can the TD costume have a holster for the T11 blaster and does it matter what side the the pouch goes on your waist.

Are the backpacks a must. And I'm thinking about the T11 blaster. Not that I don't want a pack can I just get away without haveing one for now.

So it ok to buy the ABS armor and trim as need. I'll just have to price it together myself and give it the weather effect. ATA Works has it for $500. I just want to get the proper 501st TD armor befor I drop the money on it. It was one of the recommended company's on the MEPD site and there located here in MI.
