  1. 2nd troop in the sandy. I found it easier to last when I start ditching things in layers. BFG was first to go, then later came the backpack(my audio in my radio wasn't working anyway for some reason). Any tips on dealing with the backpack? I have a missing disk in my back as it is and after a couple hours with that thing on, it needs to go. I didn't know if anyone had any tricks or anything. New favorite troop quote. "Are you edible?" That kid frightened me a bit.
  2. Success. http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/47834
  3. I have speakers in mine for the loop. Worked pretty well until it fell off.
  4. That is a great idea! Im going to try that.
  5. Had a good time! Lots of people wanting to come to the Buddy Walk, so we did our job! I have submitted myself to People of Walmart as well. Not a bad first troop in the sandy. Man that backpack gets heavy after a while! The radio faceplate did fall off of my backpack at the end. The gaffers tape didn't hold. I need to figure out a better way to secure it.
  6. Yep. Got both of those covered. I have read through the guidelines and I think I have everything covered. Just wanted to make sure.
  7. Almost there? I still need a blaster which I will have soon. I just got 501st approval and just wanted to know if there was anything that needed changed for MEPD deployment that I could work on in the meantime. Criticism welcome!
  8. Approved! TD-6534 reporting for duty!
  9. I forget the model but it is close to an MP5.
  10. I just submitted my pics for 501st approval. I still need a canon blaster before I try for MEPD. Any glaring issues aside from the fact that my thighs rotated and killed the black space between my thighs and my cod?
  11. I haven't. Been leary of trying much because I didn't know what might cause a reaction with the plastic.
  12. So, I have some HIPS armor. It was painted white with appliance epoxy and then weathered with acrylic paint. When I got it, it was too dirty for my taste so I took some rubbing alcohol and removed most of the weathering from the armor. When I got to the ab piece, I found something different going on. Same acrylic paint, but it won't come off and there appears to be some kind of textured paint over it. I've even tried sanding it down, and the majority of it is now smooth, but it still looks like this... That is too weathered compared to the rest and is going to make my scheme look off. As you can see, I was able to pull most of it off of the material he made the TD conversion piece out of, but the rest won't budge. My question: Would it be ok to repaint this piece with applianace epoxy and start over?
  13. Perfect! Thanks! Oh well, the back doesn't need to be accurate.
  14. Cool. Thanks! What about the lid(i guess that is what you would call it. Stitched on? Riveted?
  15. I know this has probably been covered, but the search function on the mobile site is lacking. Does anyone have pics of the back of a medium spanish pouch? I'm going to make one and I need to see how the flap is connected. Thanks, Rich
