Did I say old line GARRISON? did I? hmmmm nope I said old line veterans. Which, reading back in history as where I got it, and where we used it in here from way back was from the War of Independance. I do not (Phil! Look no caps lock just for you!!) remember the exact name of the units that fought in the particular battle, but from that battle they had been held up in a house which the Brits had almost shot down around them. They came out covered in dirt and dust. The original U.S. Sandtrooper! But they were called the OLD LINE Veterans because of a fence that ran past the place called the Old Line. Again, this is some of the history that I seem to be beating my head against a brick wall saying its important and I guess Im the (yep here it comes Phil, just for you my Sandy Brother!) ONLY ONE WHO SEES IT? Cause no one else is botherin to gimme a shout out. At all. Period. So I guess the History Channel and all the spinoffs of that are wrong about what they have found about making sure you dont loose it. Im sorry. to me something like that is important.. Now, I bet that there is someone in here that can rattle off every single type of blaster used by the Imperial Forces though. One is a show of pride in a real combat unit I think that deserves something. So no, had absoltely nothing to do with you, so next time you call someone immature, you might want to check your facts. I take a bit to respond at this point. Specially since I write novels! Actually I have not slept yet . So I find myself occasionally, TROOPER NAPPING.. Very well said!! What Mike said. We should NEVER forget our past or those who helped shape the past. And at the same time a "child" grows up and becomes an adult. Sometimes it is hard for a parent to let a child go. Have we made our mark? YES of course. We would not be what we are today if it weren't for those who fought for us and put their blood sweat and tears for us. We should be proud of the GREAT leadership we have and have had. Actually.. I do appreciate your comments. But, by the way, we already DO have a TrooperExpert. He is a GOODone too! At least he used to be. Been awhile... In the movie, Sandtroopers were skinny, scrawny British actors wearing plastic who had their voices over-dubbed. The 501st and the MEPD are a detachment of a world-wide costuming organization. (My MARINE upbringin) Usually I was a Gang Cop, that night I was helping in the Jail due to MASSIVE overcrowding. This party started to go "off", my partner tried to bring him under control, he tried to kill my partner, I stopped him. During which I suffered severe back injuries (I now have 6 blown out disks, he was a martial arts black belt, so was I, it was a LOONG fight) I gained "control of him". My partner comes to my house to drop off a Christmas basket every year. Enough said about the exact how I got there in my quiet voice. BUT..... I ended up between a Wheelchair, canes, and havingANOTHER brother TD having to come over too MY house and help me. I COULDNT read a computer screen for more than a (1) minute due to my meds without falling asleep! So I turned the MEPD over to MY BROTHERS in SAND!! DO YOU REALIZE HOW HARD THAT WAS??? I worked for MONTHS before EVER going PUBLIC along with BraksBuddy (who has my ULTIMATE respect as the all time PREMIER knowledge base of ALL things PERIOD, and will ALWAYS be considered MY "SANDTROOPERS BIBLE") We spent HOURS of our OWN time, working on figuring out WHAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE! Ohh but its EASY for you to throw out! ISNT IT SETH! Tell the BROTHERS Seth! Tell them HOW MANY TIMES I BEGGED for the chance to come in and go BACK and find the old things we had so that we had something from the past, OUR HISTORY that we could present. "Whatever you want to do"... COME ON MR. D/L of what 7 Months, show this OLDLINE WARHORSE FORMER D/L is just stuck in the past, and that PRIDE and HONOR Dont mean nothing. Tell YOUR SANDTROOPERS SETH how you sent me a PM saying that you wanted a thread with past D/Ls and staff to work with new staff to pass on stuff, BECAUSE we had to fight for the things that are SO EASY now, and then you TWISTED IT and basically made sure that wasnt happenin.. Cause after all, those PAULDRON issues were bad anyway! Did you tell these guys about the fact that you had volunteered to help Bama out? Cause if you had, you would have had the SIGNED SOP's that I had.. The ones that HAD THE LEGIONS SIGNATURE SAYING WE WERE THE ONLY ONES, ALONG WITH THE SPEC OPS AND ARMORED CAV WHO COULD WEAR PAULDRONS! Why would I know that? CAUSE I FOUGHT FOR IT! DID you? I was able to watch in AMAZEMENT as some of the greatest men, full grown men now send me pictures of sandtroopers at MEPD SPONSORED hospital events (not GARRISON! )where MY sandtroopers were crying cause of dying children BEAMING a smile at them cause that childs HERO, a SANDTROOPER was in front of him. Beyond ANYTHING.. THIS is what it means to be a MEPD Sandtooper... The fact that being a Sand and Dirt covered Bad Azz crusty old warhorse makes sure that WE are a WORLD WIDE BROTHERHOOD of SANDTROOPERS!!! I think ALL of us will be glad in searching with you 252! Dang Im motivated now!

Hey guys, new to the thread so bear with me, FINALLY got my stuff to build my GOOD pack after ALL this time. (Hey give the old man a break I was outta troopin fer a bit after all... sheeeesh the younger sandies these days, give em a little bit a dirt.... hehehehh) Anyway, What I had used on my previous pack, and am going to switch over, is a strw dispenser from Wal Mart. It holds like 200 straws and comes clear. Has a hard plastic top. Paint sticks to this with ease, and it seems to be the perfect size, but that I leave in your guys hands as I never did the full measurements, but I do not believe that cutting it would be a problem. It is already rigid, yet very light. Alo, it has a threaded top, so if you can figure a way to attach it to your pack in a manner that would keep the threads active, as I have, then it creates an EXCELLENT storage spot for carkeys and so on. And for some reason I cannot get the pic to load. I will work on it some more....

Guys, I know EXACTLY what it is! But ohhhhh was I BLIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But truly I dont think we are going to find them any more.... They ARE a filter for a vehicle, a WWII vehicle... Those look like some of the filters that they used in WWII as some of the vehicles started using more and more of the same parts, that looks like one of the air filters for the allied vehicles assigned to the desert. That is why it had the larger tubes, to help filter out the sand. I only know this cause I also build 1/35 scale armor models, and while researching pics for a diorama of a blown up allied tank (I believe it was an M3), I saw one of those bent over JUST LIKE THAT!!!! This was years ago that I saw the pic, but for some reason it has stuck with me, now I know why! Now, I gotta figure out WHERE I saw that stinkin picture. GRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr DUH... Im Stooooopit..
