  1. I was in that very spot this July and was thinking how cool it would have been to have my Sandy there!
  2. The idea of haunted places, ghosts, and all of that other paranormal stuff is a neat idea, but there are no documented, scientifically valid cases. Once a case has been studied and scrutinized, there is always a more likely explanation. The problem is that most "studies" are not controlled and people's imaginations fill in the missing parts. It would be cool if it were true, though. So says the skeptic in the group
  3. I got wacked so hard in the helmet with a lightsaber the other day that it rattled dust and sand into my face! The parents were mortified that their kid did that. I guess she saw me as a bad guy and next thing I know...BAM!
  4. Just do it. Then, the feeling you will know... and crave. I almost feel sorry for the non-TD's I troop with. Yeah, their costumes are cool, but there is just something about a TD. You'll hear it from the kids all around you. "Woah...look at the dirty one!" and "That one is cool!" and every time I have trooped in it, I have had an adult fan come up and say something to the effect of, "I really like the way you made it look real" Then there's the response from the ladies: Like I said before...I feel sorry for the non-TD's I troop with!
  5. So what would we need to do to gain membership into the Womprat Patrol? Since we all live in different areas, we can't really troop together. How about a picture of you in your suit in your rig? Criteria- - Your rig has to look the part- You know, battered and dirty! Used and abused...like us! (save the CLEAN rigs for the CLEAN TK's) - No pavement pics if possible What else? BTW...Here is mine...
  6. Only a few days left to meet the goal! Here is the promotional pdf they sent out today to everyone who has ordered: http://www.legendarytime.com/kickstarter/tatooine_watch_flyer.pdf (I have no affiliation with this...I just want one of those watches!)
  7. Looks good so far, brother. On a side note, though...I had that same issue with my crooked leg (please forgive me if your leg is really shaped that way!) and I was able to straighten it out by adding foam (pipe insulation) to the inside of the suit where it needed it.
  8. That would end up being more expensive than cutting up a piece of PVC
  9. Looks great! You may want to buy a cheap rivet gun. I bought one after I started my pack and was amazed at how much easier it was to put together. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but after practicing a few times on some scrap pieces, I will never go back!
  10. My mom's kitchen (Shhhh...don't tell her I took it!)
  11. Nice job. Feels good to be at the end stage, doesn't it!
