  1. crazy glue works best IMO for resin parts. also JB-weld works great for reinforcing but 2 part epox is good also
  2. me and my wife both love the series!! i cant wait to see what the prison and the girl with the leashed walkers is all about.. im going to read the comics to find out i just cant wait
  3. i have been experimenting with different methods of painting helmet details,, though i prefer using my airbrush, i know that a lot of people don't own one so i made up this tutorial on painting helmet details with common spray-paints and masking tape with minimal bleed one of the disadvantages of using spray paints over an airbrush is the bleed. an airbrush can apply super thin controlled coats and does not soak the areas you paint.. spray can paints tend to cause bleeding because they are applied too thick and the viscosity can not be altered like airbrush paints.. this method i discovered seems to help eliminate 99% of the bleeding.. by applying a clear primer before adding the paint it essentially seals most of the gaps in the masked off areas making it harder for the paint to "leak" under your masking tape (you will always get some bleed with any type of spray-paint) the trick is to eliminate as much as you can tips to eliminate paint bleed 1: always use good quality masking tape (do not use dollar store or no-name brands) 2: use a round edge tool to press down all the masked off edges (like the back side of a artist paintbrush) make sure it is plastic or wood so you don't scratch up your bucket 3: make sure you thoroughly cover areas that you don't want to paint... never skimp on the masking tape (more is better) 4: temperature is important!! try to paint on a cool day or night (heat makes most paint thinner and more likely to bleed) if it is a really hot sunny day find a shaded area to paint.. do not paint inside, you will get dizzy MATERIAL LIST 1: masking tape (i used normal 3M masking from wal-mart but automotive masking works best) 2: plastic grocery bags 2-3 3: exacto knife or razor blade 4: pencil (with eraser) 5: small paint brush 6: transparent plastic primer 7: black, gray and blue spray-paint 8: small artists easel or helmet stand (just something to hold the helmet up) here is the vids of painting an ATA helmet... Enjoy! i cant get the videos to post up so here is the link to my youtube channel photos of the finished helmet (i used a normal pencil eraser to easily remove the small bleeds that i got) also not the color in the photo looks darker than it actually is.. we have no sunlight in Maine lol
  4. i just made this T-21 (yep another one ) it has a electronics board from Hyperdyne Labs and a Aker amp to power the sound.. this thing is mega loud ,,just ask my neighbors :laugh1: it has functional sights, trigger, force feedback and LED effects. i based the design off a US made 1916/17 Savage-made WW1 Lewis Lewis Gun http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPP69uGIzkA pics
  5. i made it as a fun project i am going to sell it.
  6. just made this T-21 from scratch using pandatrooper's templates as a base reference. it still needs some minor details and finish soldering the electronics but its 99% done hows it look so far?
  7. i do the same, i made it this way because some people were pasting the IMG code into the add image feild so it generated a code like (IMG)(IMG)link.com(IMG)(IMG)
  8. i made this tutorual up for the guys having pic issues on whitearmor, hope it helps i put this little step by step tutorial together for anyone having picture trouble:P first you need to set up an account at a image hosting website, i use PHOTOBUCKET so i will base this tutorial on that now upload any images to photobucket that you want to post after you upload hover your mouse over the image and a code box should appear, right click on the direct link code and select COPY now go to the post editor just Make sure the http:// that is in the box is either pasted over or deleted if your link looks like this "http://http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac5/dashrazor/misc/post3.jpg" it will not work also the email/im code will result in an error hope this helps someone:D also you can post almost any image from the net this will show you how to post from google image search first search for a image and click on it then click on SEE FULL SIZE IMAGE right click on the image and select COPY IMAGE LOCATION then just paste the link into the editor as shown above
  9. thanks guys, i hope they are useful i also collected a bunch of good references
  10. i made these some time ago and figured this is a better place for them main barrel ( it fits a thin walled 1" pvc tube or 1 1/4 metal tube ) just print to fit page (it also works with other sizes by adjusting the margins or print scale ) you may need to increase the print size by 1% to get it closer to the right size again size tweaking may be needed for different pipe used full tutorial HERE cheers
  11. it is actually for an incinerator trooper build so the small pouch and longer flaps were necessary for accuracy. this build is closer to a sand trooper than a TK
  12. i did the mods i had to leave the small pouch for my build but i think it looks better now as for where i got it.. i made it from a 1$ leather laptop case i got at a yard sale, took about an hour:P i put up a tutorial over at whitearmor http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=10986&st=0&gopid=137417entry137417
  13. thanks! ill get on the mod i still have some spare leather to work with
  14. would this ammo pouch be acceptable? it only cost about 1$
  15. im working on some of the small bits of detail parts before i get my armor, i am planning a incinerator trooper build. i need to make a customized shoulder pauldron for this(to get the proper look). does anyone have the sandtrooper shoulder pauldron templates in PDF format? i cant seem to find them anywhere... but i have heard they are out there... any help would be appreciated
