  1. Thanks, Not many people knew they were U Joint snap rings.
  2. Ok, So we've never seen a stormtrooper/sandtrooper carry an EE-3. But I thought it was a cool gun & always wanted one. When I found out Hasbro was comming out with one I was stoked. Too bad it was child size. So I took it upon myself to build a "movie Size" version. It was made out of scrap items I found around the house. The most expensive item was the Tasco Scope & mountaing rail. Took me about 3 days to build. Im currently in the process of making two more. Then it's onto my next blaster project. Bossk's Blaster Rifle.
  3. I dusted with Krylon Khaki & Almond spray paint. I didn't like the way this turned out. So I made some mud & water I stomped, jumped, & tromped through it for about 10min. This turned out really nice. When it dried it left the boots a sandy dirty tan color. This was used on my "work" stormtrooper boots. These are the boots I wear with my regular clothes when Im working on Star Wars projects outside. Belive me I've put some wear & tear on them. I even mowed the lawn once in them. The dried mud is still there.
  4. I saw this in person & it looks horrible. The 1st thing I noticed was the helmet. Yes it's better than the Rubbies. But look at the prices on their other costumes. Im sure this will go in the $2000 range
  5. Wahoo! the seed trays came in today. They measure 8 1/2W X 12L X 2 1/2D Not sure if this is the correct size. I thought I read some where here that they should be about 8 3/4W. Ohh well these will work for me just fine. I'll get to work on the pack next week after San Diego Comic Con.
  6. The wife & I will be at C5. But due to outrageous airline luggage rates we'll be going as off duty Tie Pilots. I can squeeze jumpsuits & small props into a carry on bag.
  7. Is the blaster here in the U.S.? I asked my wife who is from Berlin Germany if it was legal to ship a toy gun to Germany. She says yes, we just have to put "toy" on the customs tag. I shipped a fully sharpened 5ft Klingon Battleth to Germany before, so a plastic gun should be no problem. Here is my offer of a plan. You ship it to me,I ship it to my father in law in Berlin & he ships it to you. Just pay for the shipping & you'll have yout blaster. PM me if interested.
  8. Mark Hammill was a lil disgruntled a few years ago. Acusing GL of ruining his career. This just sux. I can't belive David Prowse is not gonna ba at C5. Im glad I got his autograph at C4

    Mushrooms

Thanks Scootch, I need to make a trip to your house. But wanted to give you your vacation time off. Let me know whens a good time to swing buy. I'll also need a sniper & ab plates. When you get your radio box up & running I'll need a couple of those too.
  10. For my wife's pack I used Krylon spray paint. Painted all parts individually before assembly. Each part was painted it's base color(Bahama Sea, satin & flat black) & sanded litly to remove any sheen. I then spray painted with Khaki, sanded most of it off. It stayed in the nooks & crannies. Finally lite dusting with Almond & lite sanding. Assembled & instant dirty pack
  11. Personally I don't think "real" shotgun shells would be a good choice. They are very flimsy & don't seem like they would hold up to the stress. But I may be wrong. I couldn't find any of the reccomended colors of spray paint. So I opted for the next best thing. I used Krylon Bahama Sea for the base. I then dusted with gray paint & sanded litely. Next I dusted with flat black & sanded litely. Finally I weathered it with a lite dusting of Krylon Khaki, sanded & finished with Krylon Almond & sanded. Im very happy with the out come
  12. That is so awsome. What did you use for the lights?

    Mushrooms

Hey All, For my wife's backpack I used a clear "greenish" color ice cream bowl with the base removed for the mushroom top. I have seen a few other people use this same bowl as their mushroom top. I would like to use it again for my pack. But I have no idea where it came from. I found mine in my kitchen cupboard. What are some of the items you have used as mushroom tops?
  14. I love reading this stuff. But I have a stupid question You refer to the 5 tubes on the side of the pack as shotgun shells. Were these in fact real shotgun shells or just common MEPD jargon
