  1. Just wanted to keep you guys updated on what I've been working on. Some pics can be found on the rpf, here. Will have special 501st pricing once available.
  2. Just got my straps from these guys for my T-21 and was checking over their catelog and they are doing their last run of Sterlings, they're a bit pricy at $525 + shipping, but they're made from all original WW2 parts. Have had top notch service from these guys, so just wanted to let anyone that is interested know. link
  3. I'll second TK4510s helmets I have one (just ordered parts for another) and they're sweet!
  4. is that an MP5 converted to T21?! That thing looks wicked.
  5. And now to wait for my fullers earth to finish it! If you're on the fence about getting a Hyperfirm from Sci-Fire, don't be check out these pics -- all I did was make the wood-grain and paint it people the things a beauty in it's own right!
  6. You devil you, this is exactly what I needed.
  7. Update, sorry about blurry pics EVO3d takes kinda ****** non day shots... Also you'll notice I removed the fake screw on the stock and am going to put a D-Ring in there, trying to figure out how to make it a bit stronger first, however; so it does not rip through and break =(
  8. After getting my Hyperfirm T21 I read up on how to make fake wood grain on the sci-fire site and am amazed at how easy it is. What I got: 1x Hyperfirm T21 1x Valspar White Latex Primer (quart) 1x Rustoleum American Walnut (quart) 1x Rustoleum Dark Walnut (quart) 1x Cabot Cherry (quart) *Could not find a rustoleum cherry. Here is the unpainted grip, with latex on it Here is the stock painted with only Here's pic of the work in progress
  9. So I wasted $10 on some corrugated tubing only to realize I can't fit it over the front area... lol Anyone have any suggestions?
  10. I'll just leave this here, Maker Bot (it actually prints with ABS plastic, basically same material Authentic Props and Some ATA kits are made from.) Stuff printed is not the strongest, however; it would allow you to make prototype to base your mold on quick.
  11. I just bought a HTC EVO (been using iphone3g) and I love it! I recently bought a BlueAnt Q1 (an amazing bluetooth headset) and was thinking... what if I could use it as my helmet mic as apposed to the wired one I have? This would allow me to answer phone calls and prevent my amp from working at same time! I was just wondering if anyone else has an android device? I might need help testing. I don't have an ETA on the .apk yet.
  12. Before you DO ANYTHING make sure to Novus (or equivalent) polish all of your scratches! Weather can be a huge pain to get out of scratches (especially if you use darker pigments.) Then you can use a 20% acrylic paint/80% water mixture of black/brown to weather your armor, just brush it on and then blot it with a paper towel. To clean (to perfection, grab a can of Denatured Alcohol, it will clean your armor easy with out damaging it.)
  13. Keep in mind that a bright light is more useful for close quarters. It blinds onlookers.
