  1. Like I already said on FISD, that build is amazing. All from scratch, very impressive!
  2. People should start wearing 'em like this. Hilarious! Even glued (?) the tube on wrong...
  3. What my German brother is trying to say is "It'll become somewhat more subtle", I guess. And that's what I personally think would be better too. It is his own choice of course, and I do agree that it gives your armor it's personality if it's not done like any other sandtrooper. But this is more like mud than sand, whoa! So yeah, Daniel - you're going the route with movie accurate after all? Has my reference pic changed your mind?
  4. That detail is missing on the DoopyDoos MG 34, I built that from scratch. Nice detective work BTW! Here's my version:
  5. Ha, I thought you wouldn't make such a mistake. Sorry that I can't seem to read. So the yellow symbol means "no pack", that makes more sense. That's one impressive chart you made there, the ultimate TD reference!
  6. Man, you did a lot of research. Great behind the scenes pics! But I meant that you forgot the pack icon in your sketch for captain #1, that's why I asked. You know, that yellow symbol that all other pack wearers have in your sketches...in your sketch, the DLT-19 captain has a pack and the E-11 has none, I guess you switched that detail. So you can simulate all of these guys? Then you are officially the TD master, no doubt about that. I'm looking forward to your photos!
  7. Whoa, great idea Rolf. You really do love the sandtrooper, man! Doesn't the captain wear a pack in the roadblock scene? I mean, Mr. "Move along"? Like here: Edit: I mean the one with the 2 hip pouches and the E-11.
  8. I have the DoopyDoos version which is cast from an original, so I reckon it's pretty accurate... On mine, the holes are 14mm wide.
  9. Coming along nicely! But I suggest you keep it all in one thread, otherwise it gets a little confusing.
  10. Thanks, but this only works in IExplorer, not with Firefox which I usually use. Strange, but hey - it worked after all!
  11. This is great. How can I download the pics of the MG34 in you post? I don't seem to be able to do it... clicking them only opens the slideshow that shows all 5 pics, but there's no "right click -> save" possible.
  12. Hi all, one of the shiners here, but planning to go dirtied up TD some time in the future. Just wanted to share my fully modded DoopyDoos DLT-19 wuth you guys. I love this as a weapon for my ANH TK, the E-11 is puny and belongs in the holster. I added quite a bit of details, changed things around and gave it a whole new weathered metallic paintjob since I unpacked it from the delivery box over 5 months ago. It's a great base for an accurate BFG, but some things bugged me and I had to remedy that... Things I modded: - opened all necessary holes with a dremel (like under the front sight or drilling out the cocking handle) - repositioned the cocking handle - added the details on both sides of the receiver - added the rear barrel sight - dremeled the missing detail into the raised middle part of the barrel - added wire to the t-tracks - removed the strange square disc on the bottom of the grip and added the correct holding ring detail Here's the final look and some close-ups on the details: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4061/4422812355_9448c8c52d_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2722/4423578266_8d0bebc014_b.jpg Barrel detail and t-track wires: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4012/4424720098_488d4070b1_b.jpg Rear barrel sight: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2759/4424722298_c8408bf86a_b.jpg Receiver box detail: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4017/4424725058_3b4efd6527_b.jpg And this is what it looks like in direct sunlight, showing the metallic effect: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4054/4420289164_f433931953_b.jpg
  13. That really was an awesome event. It was my first, best way to start a long trooping career, right?
