  1. Hey Roger good to hear from you mate , How is it going? I took a break from replicas to focus on my screen used collection, mostly from Dredd (2012) and Batman Reurns. No matter how hard I try I always seem to be drawn back to SW though, especially with all the lineage stuff made available by RS,. Have you seen the Snowtrooper helmet ? (one of my favourite costumes of all times) I've also been blown away by the great research made public by this communnity on found items for the sandtrooper backpacks. And yes I've decided to build a 'Someone was in the Pod" trooper display using all the vintage and best parts available. What about you? Are you going for a "Move Along" replica display? Do you have a progress thread somewhere?
  2. Yes me. Never though I would one day pay so much for a toilet syphon, but after getting scammed paying 30 euros for one and never receiving it....... Got tired of looking everywhere on the internet, all the Uk supplier seems to be out.
  3. Yes please post the pics , the link was already dead when I found the thread o the RPF.
  4. Looks like a Meatstock;(given the soft details) Whoever tried to make this thing look like an ESB helmet did a very poor job at it. Sorry buddy, u might want to give it a new paintjob....
  5. Looks like the one on the left(looking at the pic) has a hero helmet and the other one the Tantive monkey arms lol.
  6. Hiya Keith, So when are you going to show us your low brow ESB???
  7. Your wish is my command, lol, well not really as I only have a couple of OLD Progress pics;when I was working on my ESB trooper display, trimming, assembling and modifying. I can take more pics this week if anybody is interested. (Helmet and handguards are not Gino's.) I also have a Hero V2 helmet and from my collector point of view there is really an evolution in Gino's stuff , the stunt V1 that I received (like two or three years ago) was already super sharp and extremely well put together but the neck trim was wrong, it had no straps nor star shapped foam, bumps had been removed etc etc... For those saying that there is no difference between a Gino' V1 suit and GF or AP then I must say that I couldn't disagree more, I'm not Gino's spokes person but it's like comparing an Aston Martin and a Porsche IMHO, I'll let you guess which one I like the most.
  8. only two GINO suits were ever made publicly available! TE2 or TM for me! I know of a least four Gino suits.I own one,Brak's old suit,a move along suit, and a kit he sold on ebay not to long ago.Maybe Gino can let us know how many are out there? I'd say more like six or seven, as I also own a full Gino set myself, .http://www.yourprops.com/norm-445a36c7623d...A+New+Hope.jpeg it was a sandtrooper kit when I received but I converted the armour to ESB specs(not the helmet) with parts from our own TM and another armour. I'll have new pics soon as well as pics of all my helmets, bought two more since that last pic was taken. Do we really need all these things Happy new year to all.
  9. That's a nice blaster you have there mate. Cheers.
  10. It sure does Keith! You took some great pics of those sandtrooper helmet's and they are very much appreciated I can tell you Top man for sharing them -Paul. I agree, loads of awesome pics were taken by Jez, Keith and Jeremy/Gonk. I think we all know what we owe them, I least I do. It always amazes me how crappy painted the original sandtrooper helmets really were. I think people really shouldn't worry too much when painting their own replicas. Cheers.
  11. Paul, I think you just won the award for coolest dad on earth. Well done mate.
  12. Thanks Paul, glad you like my theory. StarWars Collector wrote: Here you go, check out the thread over at the RPF I posted a screengrab showing the AB section.
  13. No problem Paul, I'd sur love to see your pics, if you could send me some I'd really appreciate it. Chris, Unfortunately the museum is closed, I know the Moving Image was on tour in 2002 and they had one of the ROTJ troopers with them, probably the one Paul saw too. I was there twice in the late 90's. Those suits are awesome a 100 time better than the tour suits I saw in SW exhibits. Cheers.
  14. Well I'm not John , but I can confirm you that you're right about the brow trim. Cheers
  15. I can confirm that, I saw them in person and up close too when I was in London. From what I could tell the suits looked like background studio suits as well.
  16. Hummm Joe those two helmets look very familiar The TE RotJ doesn't look like that anymore I'll post some pics when it's finished. Here is my GINO ANH stunt, it's the only ANH helmet that I've , all my other ANH helmets are converted or in the process of being converted into ESB. Cheerios
  17. Clutch is your helmet signed by Matt/TE on the inside of it??? My TE is signed and dated. I have a Gino helmet and it's def not made out of ABS it's made out of glossy hips.
  18. I love that last pic of the "silent sentinels" Very cool pm sent
  19. Great photos , thanks for sharing
