  1. So I found this thread on TE2 Assembly. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=...=armor+assembly In the pics there seems to be alot of bumps and ripples in the helmet. Is this standard? Just on the TE2 or all kits? Curious.
  2. Thanks Sands, I'm not as concerned with the cost as much as difficulty level of assembly. I WOULD hate to spend so much only to ruin it due to my skill level.
  3. Gracias Juan, I appreciate your honesty and personal experience. My own abilities at assembly are definitely a concern. I guess I need to research TE2 construction methods more to see if I am capable. Cheers.
  4. So on this other thread (http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=5805&st=0&p=69958entry69958) there seems to be some concern about the strength and durability of Styrene. Any thoughts? Please know that I am not questioning the quality of anyones work, merely the material vs. ABS. Cheers.
  5. You guys have been great. Now I'm more confused than ever That's a good thing. It'll let me decide what I really want. I will also mean you guys will have to put up with more questions. I'm torn. I love the "top of the line" in everything I do, but I dont want to spend that much for detail and wreck it. I want to troop for sure (still not sure where). I'd love to see some up close. Know anyone in Utah? Mad love , guys.
  6. Thanks for the info guys. I love this forum. I can't believe thats AP!! Everyone has said it more for short slender guys. I definitely want to troop, although I work and travel alot, so not often. Hmmm, I guess i'll give it some more though. Anyone else? Cheers.
  7. Thanks again Erik. I've be looking at posts and chatting with members and since i am 6' 220lbs., AP is out. I'm thinking about TE2. Any thoughts, pros and cons?
  8. Cheers T, I appreciate the specifics. Can you tell me your opinion on these armors and the differences. I like quality and am willing to pay for it. I prefer to find that tipping point of quality vs. price. Get me? I'd love to see pics if you can direct me. Also assembly skill level is a factor. Mahalo.
  9. So, there seems to be no consensus on helmets or armor. I was hoping to get some advice on where to start but now I'm more confused than ever. If anyone has a strong opinion as to what to get, this noob would appreciate some clarity. Anyone wanna take a stand? Cheers.
  10. Hey all, Brand spankin new here. I was recommended a few armors to start with. Where do i find those armors (TE2, TM, AP)? What are the pros and cons of each? Thank guys.
  11. Thanks Pappy, Where do i find those armors (TE2, TM, AP)?
  12. Hey all, I just joined The Dented Helmet last week as well as Mandalorian Mercs. I am excited after a year of "stalking" these site to have finally made a commitment to do this. While researching those costumes, I realized me long time love for sandtroopers. That being said, I'm not sure I want to wait a year to build a sandtrooper. I think I will build them side by side. Do you think this is too ambitious? I seem to be pretty bipolar in life like this. Anyway, I look forward to any help you can offer. Where should I start. Cheers all. Oh, if this is in the wrong place, sorry. Feel free to relocate.
