The blaster is an extension of your personality. I think the version you choose should speak to you lol....when you look at screen shots or watch ANH, what version stands out as bad A$$? The mg-15 did that for me. I've had them all and from the best builders in the galaxy. Good luck in your quest brother

I have a version I made. It's not vac formed and I found its much better for trooping and overall look.

I'm thinking it was some sort of flexible piece....probably laying around....maybe even the remnant of a latex mold for another costume. Then with the image that Juan drew out could have been same item flipped over and your seeing old glue lines. It's kinda how I would've glued it to a glove. Or could be the finish off of the latex pour.
