Greetings all, my name is Ethan. I've been working on an AP ANH stunt for just over five years (life keeps interfering). Just recently made the decision to make it dirty.

    Welcome to the sandbox Ethan!

My 1st armor ever was an AP and getting it dirty is just bringing it to another level of fun. Enjoy your stay and your trip to the dirty side :)

  3. Legion Elections are upon us.

That's right. Everyone's favorite time of year is back again for 2020. In February, every member of the 501st has the opportunity to exercise their Imperial democratic right to choose their leaders, at both the local and the global level. You will be able to vote for Legion Commanding Officer, Garrison Commanding Officer (or Outpost Leader), and - where you are registered and active in one or more Detachments, for the respective Detachment Leaders. Eligibility for Detachment electoral processes requires an approved affiliation with the Detachment as well as an active registered account on the Detachment forum that has logged in within the past year. Where you are a member of a Squad, you would also be able to vote for the Squad Leader.

The schedule of the 2020 election is as follows:

    Nominations Start:
    Monday Jan 27th @ 12:01AM GMT

    Nominations End and Q&A Starts:
    Saturday Feb 1st @ 12:01AM GMT

    Closing Statements:
    Thursday Feb 6th @ 12:01AM GMT

    Voting Starts:
    Friday Feb 7th @ 12:01AM GMT

    Voting Ends:
    Wednesday Feb 12th @ 11:59PM GMT

The next five days after voting ends is reserved for transitioning between administrations. Elected candidates will take office at 12:01am GMT on Monday, February 17th.

All nominations and voting will occur in the 501st Legion Elections portal here: https://www.501st.com/elections/

Q&A for LCO will take place on the Legion Forums. Unit CO Q&A will take place on their respective Unit forums. A Unit CO/Candidates/Members may request that their Q&A take place on Legion forums or to be moderated on their unit forums by the Election Mod Team. These requests should be placed in as far in advance as possible.

Thank you Boss for your dedication and time all years. It was a pleasure to serve under your leadership and we have certainly accomplished much as a detachment.

    Enjoy a well deserved break.

Thank you Justus for a great run as our DL! Thanks for all the great additions you brought to the detachment during your tenure. It’s been a pleasure serving with you and hope to see you around the forum still! Thanks boss!

Much appreciated and kind words Gordon and John! We did this as a team and I'll stick around for sure!

Don't know in what position but I'll be here for sure.

  5. My dear friends, brothers and sisters of the sand or as most of us know, the baddest, toughest and roughest bunch of troops in the Legion!

The Elections will start soon and it's time for you to vote for your LCO, Garrison/Outpost CO and your Detachment leader.

I won't be running for another term this year as I personally feel it's time to give someone else the opportunity to lead the MEPD to new horizons!

It's not that I wasn't enjoying leading the MEPD but I noticed I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted to it. Also the politics on the top brass level has been draining my energy.

Having this said I would like to take off my helmet and salute you all! You all that have believed in me the last years and made this possible for me by placing your faith in me.

I know that the new DL will keep this train running and keep the MEPD values up high!

My special thanks go out to my whole staff that has stood by me during the last years. Without you guys I couldn't have done it and I know there are people between you guys that have the potential to run the MEPD.

Who ever will win this years election, you got my vote and I know you will do your task with honor.

Now I'm going to have some drinks, cry and reminisce about the last years...

I love all you guys 'n gals here but it's really time for me to move along….

Stay safe and be safe !

    MEPD 4 Life and Godspeed!

    - Justus

  6. A happy sandy new year and all the best in health, love and happiness to all of you and your loved ones for 2020.

To recap 2019 in a nutshell, lot's of things happened...e.g., the LCO stepped down, the Mandalorian series started and the saga has ended….at least that's what they made us think.

I personally am still the proudest detachment leader in the 501st as in my view the MEPD is the Old Dame of the detachments and will always be. We might not have as much costumes as the other Detachments but the ones we have stand out in a crowd.

I hope that you all will keep the MEPD train moving, I know I will!

Cheers and again, a happy sandy new year!!

  7. All,

Our Legion Commanding Officer has stepped down.

Due to private circumstances he can't dedicate himself as much as he'd love to.

The remaining Legion Officers will stay in their respective functions unless they volunteerly step down too.

This will not affect us as we know how to run this show ourselves ;)

    Cheers! :salute:
