  1. I'd definitely be keen on one of those!
  2. That looks sweet! Can't wait to see the finished product
  3. And painted the abdomen detail black for some reason!?
  4. Thanks for the help guys! The helmet is a T/MC, and I trimmed and assembled it myself. That's an interesting point that assembly determines the size. I'm used to my MR helmet, so I was unsure how small the hole was meant to be. Thinking about it, I once tried a friends RT-Mod and couldn't even get it on my head Perhaps it's my head that's in the wrong place and I have to adjust the padding? Because as it is, the vocoder really digs into the my throat, but there is a lot of room at the back. Thanks for the photo, that helps a lot!
  5. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my new helmet, and need a bit of advice with regards to the size of the opening for my head. As it is, I can just squeeze my head through (a bit harder with my headset on). It also presses into my throat a bit, which isn't too bad with the neck seal on but will probably get uncomfortable over a long troop. I know these things are meant to be snug, and no-one will be able to see my head/face underneath the helmet with it so tight, but can I trim some more of the face plate down to make things a bit easier? If I go ahead and trim it down I'm terrified I'll take off too much, so any photo's of your guys lids to guide me would be great!
  6. I recently bought some TMC parts for my new Sandtrooper. I went with them mainly because I wanted ABS, and they were the only guys offering parts as well as the full kit. All in all I'm very pleased with what I got! I did notice a few flaws in the plastic here and there, but that's no problem for us dirty troopers
  7. I might be the odd one out here but I definitely wouldn't like to see any more movies made! How could you top the original trilogy?! And can you imagine what Fisher, Ford and Hamill would look like reprising their roles???
  8. You can actually buy it at art supply shops, it's like a coarse PVA paste and when it dries it looks like clumps of sand. I used it on my old FX armour but I wasn't too keen on the results. I used Fullers Earth on my new armour and think it looks much better!
  9. I have one of Triktoys old sound FX boards (not sure if they ever did come out with the V2?) but I've personally had a lot of problems with feedback and oversensitivity. I've never trooped with it because I'd have to turn the volume down so low it defeats the purpose of a sound system. However I know several people who have the board and love it... I just upgraded to a ROM/FX, haven't field tested it yet but it sounds great, easy to use, 8 different static burst sounds and you can adjust the sensitivity which is excellent! Compared to everything else I've seen and tried the ROM is the best!
  10. Wow, that looks awesome! Wish I could scratch-build stuff like that!
  11. Mos Eisley may be a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but the Police Department sure isn't! All the members here are so friendly, helpful and easy going! And willing to go the extra mile to help their fellow troopers. A big thanks to all of you from me too
  12. Hahaha, that first photo was a terrifying sight!
  13. Haha, that is one awesome looking spud! I like the little pauldron you made him, does he have a potato pack?
  14. Wow, looks great Rick! Photo's saved for reference
