  1. Thanks guys, and thanks Rolf! Definitely gonna "investigate" them more tomorrow! Appreciate ALL the help. I'm thinking of offering him @$1000 each. Think that'd be good?
  2. Thanks guys, I'm going to assume that these are non working originals. I don't think my buddy's father would have paid $250 a year just to have them in his closet. Will let you know after I have a look at them again. Not really looking to have one that shoots anyway. It'd be pretty cool though! Think you could take it dear hunting? Thanks again for all of your help and feedback! Geo
  3. Thanks again guys, Guess I need to figure out the Euro to US $ conversion. I'm going over this Saturday to take a look at them again and get more photos. I'll try and post some next week. As far as I can tell they are originals not replicas, they are heavy as ****!! :o I'll look for the serial numbers. Have to research a bit to know where they are to compare. If they aren't decommissioned, I'm assuming that you could "dry fire" them and not if they are "decommed"? Thanks guys! Geo
  4. Thanks guys! As far as I know they are original guns, they do not look like replicas. I only got to see them for a bit today. A friend of mine's father collected military items including some guns. I'll try and load a couple of pics I took with my phone tomorrow. I should be able to go and take more pics. My friends dad passed away unfortunately before I could talk to him about them. He told me he'd sell them to me at market value -10%. They appear to be the real deal and are not in pieces, I assume they have been decommissioned. What I'd like to do is buy them, mold them, and them sell casts to cover my purchase costs. Hey Bill, glad to see a 70th explorer here! Still haven't finished my TD! (taking forever) Thanks and will try and get more info soon, Geo
  5. Hey guys, don't post much here, (actually my first post) but I have recently come across the opportunity to purchase a real MG 34 and MG42 from a friend. Don't know what a "fair" price would be for each of them. They look like they are in really great shape. Can you guys help? Thanks! Geo
