basically click the link on the top of the page, make sure you meet all of the requirements, submit your request in the MEPD Recruitment section with proof of 501st membership. From there my guess is you will get contacted for pictures of vital areas that have to be changed in order to be MEPD certified. I go with the standard neck seal, black UA long sleeves which i have to pull the sleeves over the gloves to cover the strapping (stays put though very nice BELL gloves), and then I have two pairs of black hose which i put on one over the other so that no one can see anything lol (only problem is that after only a couple of troops with them, they are getting runs and holes from the edges of the armor). that and i wear black compression shorts that i used for swimming conditioning, they work wonder as far as underwear goes.....other than that its all good definitely going to be looking into gettin a normal bottom piece to go with the top....shouldve seen the lady at jc pennies when i brought those puppies to the front....haha weird looks she gave me still make for a good chuckle lol ---------------------------------------------------- just bought a skullcap to keep the sweat from getting into my eyes, underarmour leggings, and some nice socks.....we'll see how they stand up to the beatings -------------- update ---------------- did a birthday party last week with all my new undergear. works absolutely wonderful. only problem is i have chicken legs.....its either little ripples or too short.....i chose ripples

i think im going to request some of the guys from my garrison so that we can all go bowling or something i think it would be kinda cool to go all of us in suits for my bday....be turnin 19 in jan..... sure was fun.....definitely lookin forward to wolfsons in jacksonville and possibly the veterans parade in jacksonville as well so much fun

Yesterday I was at work and found out that the clubhouse I work at would be hosting a birthday party. I asked about it and the lady mentioned a star wars theme. I naturally said that I had a replica suit from the movie, and she naturally requested an appearance. So I drove home, quickly finished the weathering that I was busy redoing, and drove back. The party was a blast. There were little kids age range from 3-7 and they were all saying I wasn't real and so with my trusty new speaker system I recently installed in my bucket, I told them to touch me as I extended a hand. They all started screaming......Hes real! Hes Real!!!!! Yeah it was fun, I got free cupcakes out of it. Definitely makes me want to go do Wolfsons Childrens Hospital in Jax, FL with my local squad once I get the go-ahead from my GML. Definitely worth it. I might make this a new thing for me. Birthday parties. sure was fun.... Let me know what you think Ill try and post up soem pictures if I can get the lady to email them to me.

Ive noticed one button that isnt there...i dont know if it would be too cluttered but ive notice on the fl501st forum they have a "View My Posts" button. When im on the mepd forum i can still do it but i have to click on my name and then on the "my posts" thing below the picture. just wondering if there were any plans in the future to incorporate it into the main menu But very nice new board

So today at work (about 15 minutes ago) a lady called about a scheduled party at a pool that i work at and the topic came up that the theme was going to be starwars....she got all excited and requested that i run home, get my suit, come back and play with the kiddies. should be fun....as soon as she gets here ive gotta go home and finish weathering the thighs and then rush up here before 4........wish me luck.....i WILL bring a camera best day of my life.....this cant be coincidence

I did some additional weathering to my suit, however i fear it may be too dark now...it looks super cool but thats just me. and as for the "bantha poo" thats actually a handprint on my face....inspiration drawn from the handprint on the human-orc cross things in the lord of the rings....thought it added personality

I managed to find my trays in the pet section with all the food, toys, etc. mine are almost the right color grey/blue but they had like this metallic sheen to them that was mixed into the plastic, so originally they had this like shiny effect, very high gloss, but then i repainted with the right color blue.....ill try to get a pic or two up soon so you guys can point me in the right direction as far as mods that still have to be made yeah ive been told by my garrison's GML to tone down the dirt so im gunna work on that...but do you notice the small water tap i installed on the bottom left? i have a full screwofftop waterdispencer inside the lower big box of my pack.....and yes i still need a cistern, hamburger stacker and bottom antenna.....all of which are impossible to find in florida.....any help?

Ive got a blaster mark on my bucket as well as my chest armor however the back armor has a mark to match the chest so that it looks as if its gone through...but im thinking that that may be a bad idea seeing as id be dead if that actually happened lol...here is a link to some pics on another post....no actual holes either http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4475

I also managed to get some trays from target...nearly the perfect shade of grey blue, but i still painted them to get it just right. my only problem is that i cant find a box that fits the radio cover(bottom left box) exactly, right now ive got a smaller version of the kitty box that is about 2 inches too long. ive considered lengthening the radio cover by cutting it into sections and spacing the pieces evenly so that it still looks good. im not sure though, its the only one ive been able to find and im not keen on destroying the only one ive come across.....would this mod be acceptable for deployment? thanks for any tips!

thanks for the advice. im not sure what you mean by wiping across the armor with a wrag though... like take some of the paint off? of put some on in a different way via a wrag? i added brown and black "accent stains" around my wrists that fade as they go up, like ive been working on something or getting into the mix with some of the locals, and i added some brown that kind of sprays up the shins in the front and fades as well as a black with dirty edges lightsaber slash across the upper left side of my chest......what other colors would you recommend? UPDATE ON MY BUCKET!!! I got a speaker system for my helmet with the amp and everything and i love it because there are two different plugs, one for the mic to produce the sound out of the hovi mix mic tip speakers, and the other is to plug into the secondary jack so that i can hear stuff from the headphone that the mic boom is attached to. i then noticed that the jack is the same size as a standard headphone jack, so i plugged in the secondary heaphone jack into my ipod and vuala!!! i can now play music directly from my aerators at a pretty darn good quality!!!!! the only thing left for my to do is download the starwars theme from itunes..... and last but not least a question. i know that the update for mepd denotes that i have to have a helmet other than an FX. but id say my helmet looks pretty darn good considering!! that and i dont have the cash to build a another helmet.....my question....is my helmet an fx and if it is...you think they will be leniant when it comes to the new helmet rule? thanks for the help and advice!!!

Ill have to work something out so that I can do a paypal payment for the exchange and shipping. I dont have checks only a debit card......go figure. You are an absolute lifesaver.... glad to know im not the only one with this problem. I just sent them an email and will most likely call tomorrow to work something out. thank goodness I didnt weather the darn things or I dont think they would take them back! Ive been really excited to get these too.....its all ive needed to have a complete suit since i got my suit back in '06.Ii guess another week or so wont hurt.
