  1. Yeah, I was really thinking hard about this one. I'm really only interested in the static clicks. Anyone know how long the Hyperdyne Trooper Amp has been out of stock?
  2. Had to go back into old emails to dig up my password but the site looks awesome! Way to go!!!
  3. Thanks fellas. No, the pauldron is just the normal vinyl one. I bought it off of TK4130. I was actually quite suprised. I bought a black pauldron for my Clone armor and it choked me the whole time. This one, pretty much the exact same as far as I could tell, was barely noticeable. I'm lovin' it.
  4. Here's my recently completed Dewback rider. RT-Mod armor and an ANH Stunt Helmet! Note: I have worn Biker Scout, Mandalorian and Clone armor and this is by far the most comfortable of all of them. I can run at almost full speed (including backwards), up and down stairs and even did a few chin-ups at a recent event! Love it!! (the Dewback prod was awesome as well since I could lean on it during long photo shoots and use it like a blind man's cane when doing stairs.)
  5. That's what I did. Had some leftovers from my clone trooper belt and used those.
  6. That's an airsoft AK-366 with the barrel tip, stock and magazine removed.
  7. I've got a couple of heavy duty screws holding that sucker on. They'll have to take the whole **** pack. hehe
  8. Try a hobby or model store. The one near me has lots in varying thicknesses.
  9. Keep in mind that I'm still waiting on my leg pieces but looking over some assembly tips I saw that if you want to be able to bend your legs, you may have to trim the backs of your thigh pieces at the bottom. The site (can't recall the URL) said that the cutout wouldn't look pretty but it wouldn't stand out too badly. I did up this quick image to illustrate what I'm talking about. You can see that with the piece on the left that section "B" has been cut out to keep the bottom of the thigh from digging into the top of the calf. A = back of the upper thigh B = cut out C = back of knee What I thought of doing was making the cutout so that I could at least bend my knee at a 45 degree angle but then attaching some white elasticized fabric to the inside of the thigh to create the illusion of it being a full untrimmed piece. The elstic fabric would also act as a but of a buffer should I fall of accidentally bend my knee past 45 degrees. Just wondering if anyone has done a similar mod or if there is another option I haven't thought of yet???
  10. I used a dremmel with the smallest cut off wheel I had and then cleaned it up with an X-acto knife and some fine sandpaper.
  11. Too true, too true. I never looked at it from that angle before. Live and learn I guess.
  12. See, I have a different take on the original question altogether. For me, screen accuracy can't be solely the generalized version. What about the following combo? - dirty armor, pauldron, BFG (no pack and no shoulder pouches) This was seen on screen in the docking bay encounter. Both packless troopers went without the packs since they were marked to die by the director and didn't want to take a tumble with full packs on. That aside, this combo is still screen accurate for ANH. Just seems the "essentials" for accuracy don't account for the legitimate exceptions.
  13. Well, I gave it a try and though it is extremely convenient, you don't get the snug fit of the suspenders and the crotch strap. You can still run a strap from the butt plate to the cod but all it does is pull the belt and cod down. In the end, I attached the cod to the belly plate with 2 thick straps close to the middle line and with about a 1/2" gap between the cod and the belly. This allows the cod to fully hinge upwards if needed and the gap is still covered when you have the belt. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
  14. I am in the middle of assembling my RT stormie armor. For those of you unfamiliar with his stuff, the kidney plate is seperate from the butt plate and the cod is seperate from the ab plate. I was trying to measure where to trim and attach the cod plate to get it to hang just right under the belt. Then EUREKA!!! it hit me. WHY NOT ATTACH THE COD PIECE TO THE BACK OF THE BELT???? I would have total flexibilty. With Boba or Jango type costumes, the cod plate is basically held in place by the girth belt. What do you think?
