  1. On the subject of attaching canisters to plungers and plungers to hoses, on my pack a machine screw runs through the threaded part of the plunger reinforcing the bond between the hose and plunger. I ran a threaded rod down through the top of the plunger and out of the bottom of the lid of the canister i used. that way, in addition to being glued at the joints, the whole thing is "bolted" together. PM me if you would like some pics or anything. Seth
  2. Yeah, i'll also be adding a yoda statue/incense holder to my desert pack.
  3. I have a white, a black w/ patches, and I'm making a leopard print one in the near future.
  4. I think a fan-made backpack reference section in the photo gallery might be helpful to those in the process of building their own packs. What i had in mind would be about 5-6 pictures per pack showing the face, profiles, top & bottom, details, etc. I was going to add a poll to gauge interest, but I can't get it to work so just reply with your thoughts, I'll be posting my shots next week. (what gallery does everyone (anyone?) think this should be in?) Seth TD6025
  5. Cutting out the frown is definately worth it, you get more air exhange and it looks much nicer than black stickers. As far as # of teeth, I cut out what was molded into my helmet (G.F.). So, not sure what to say there. Hope that helps a little.
  6. I've seen some troops use the personal air conditioner that fits around your neck, they are about $100, and supposedly work pretty well. You may also get one of the "cool bandanas" that constuction crews use, (you also wear this around your neck) that is probably a more economical choice.
  7. Joe, what I mean to do is remove the incorrect part and fabricate a screen accurate box. So my question is, if the modification looks like the screen reference, is that acceptable? Or will it be necessary to get a pre-made ab plate?
  8. Way To go! I too, think tempura is the way to go, you can put it on real thick for crud splashes and its derived from clay(dirt!) I'd advise putting it on real heavy and patting off excess until it looks the way you want it to.
  9. A modded ab plate should be acceptable as long as it looks right, all it needs (more or less) is the square center box, eh?
