  2. Hello, Sandys. Trading cards are now available on MEPD. Legion Ok’d and by Detachment leader. I will be making the Print Ready Files for all the MEPD trading cards for no charge (FREE), but will not provide any printing service. You will only need send to a printing company/service to complete you cards. See below for that information. My service also includes color-correction and masking the costume to the set background. Do not modify, alter or copy elements in the files I provide. There will be no “runs” this will be an ongoing service. You send the information to me and it will be as a first in first out (As they come in), you will get the files for approval in return. SAMPLE: Send your photos and the below information to: neandertal49@gmail.com Name: ID: Call sign: ............(Nickname/voluntarily info) Unit: (Garrison, Outpost, "Squad") Arsenal/Weapons: ............ (Voluntarily info) What is your level? Are you basic (1), police (2) or swat (3)? 1. Basic MEPD will not have any listing of BASIC on back. 2. DEPOYED POLICE will be listed on back below the head picture 3. DEPOYED SWAT will be listed on back below the head picture plus SWAT logo. I will make the files and send them to you for approval or to change something if you need. Then you will be ready to send them to your printer to complete your trading cards. Also in the same email: Link to or posted front photo (1500 px tall or more) Link to or posted Back photo (bucket off or on) Important, when sending files to a printing company/service, also include this info: For the US: Paper must be printed on: High coated "both sides", Card stock 14pt, format: 2.5x3.5 inches. With UV. NO matt or gloss foil. Quantity:_________________ (that is up to you) Printing turnaround time: Standard Round corners: leave unchecked UV coating: you want UV on front, not back File delivery methods: radio button on for Upload: manual proof 24 hours SHIPPING: ____________________(up to you) https://www.gotprint.com/products/collectors-cards/order.html?fid=2852151&size=376&quantity=100 For Europe and world equitant to same paper in the US): Paper must be printed on: High coated "both sides", invercote creato, 300 gram, format: 64x89 mm. NO matt or gloss foil. (if the printing company/service does not have the above paper, make sure its 14pt+ or 300+ grams, High coated "both sides" and if the company does not have that paper weigh, it’s always better to go higher "thicker") Photo Tips: For best quality on your photos: it’s best to take them outside, the light outside makes a big difference. Try to have a neutral background (not strong colors) also be aware of shadows that reflect onto your costume. If you are taking photos inside, try to stand a place with the most/best light. Do not have the light source behind you DO: 1 Take a cool action shoot, after you will be recognized by your striking pose. 2 Take a head shot picture without helmet if you want 3 Make it in a descent size and resolution. Pics above 2mb at a great size and format will do great DON’T: 1 Avoid over exposure. Too shiny armor pics lack detail and make you look more like a TK. Need to see the dirt! 2 Try to stay away from the flashlight. It makes light upon your gear to mess up your pic. 3 Avoid a visually contaminated background. Therefore we don't lose detail when cutting you guys out in artwork Stay Dirty!

  5. I am not familiar with a list of found parts. My pack is from CrookKnight. He is closed and sold all of his pack stuff to Dave' s Darkside Depot. The pack I have is 3D printed. My pack has elastic straps to hold it in place. the straps are hidden by the pauldron and armor mostly and blends with the undercut. As for the weathering, the CRL moderately weathered. I'd interpret the as the weathering should be noticeable but not excessive.

  7. You and I have actually talked about this topic on the legion forum. It was also brought to my attention that you posted this to Instagram is well, saying this isn't approvable. This costume is approvable at level 3, SWAT. So, it is in fact approvable. This rule is in place for the very reason you stated in the post. The MEPD does not want to be the place people take old, yellowed TKs without any upgrades. For level one approval, you will need to add pouches and a pauldron. If you wish to approve as a higher level, you will first need to approve to level one and then you will need to pause the film and copy the armor style and weathering pattern exactly to the character you have chosen.

  8. Bucket time! I attached the helmet and tried to get the brow height to look as close to the Davin Felth original as possible. For my built I decided against rivets and went with screws... I'm not sure if this will hold up to trooping, but it seems sturdy enough. I now know why people say that attaching the ears is the most difficult step in building a helmet. It's good that RS propmasters give you two pairs of ears to work with, because I definitely trashed one pair in the process. But I think in the end it turned out alright and I'm happy with them for now. Because I am replicating the Davin Felth helmet I tried to add some of the little flaws as well. In the original helmet the left ear seems to be positioned slightly lower and you can see a bit of the underlying HDPE-plastic "semicircle" peak out on the top. I made sure to get the same effect in my helmet. Oh, and I made a cheap helmet stand as well. It's a PVC pipe with a cheap toilet plunger (A fresh one!!!) shoved inside of it to cradle the helmet. It's actually super effective, and you can easily reposition the helmet on the plunger. Because it's rubber it nicely grabs on to the plastic of the helmet. Maybe not something to display it long term (Especially because there will be stuff inside the helmet later on), but for painting it works great! Yep! I will try to resin-print a mold and cast the cheesegraters myself. Not sure if it will work, but maybe worth a try.

  15. Hey all, please be aware that the Etsy vendor RubberBlastersEtc should be avoided at all costs. They have been removed from every Legion forum and the proprietor banned from the Clubs due to confirmed previous conviction of the most severe of criminal charges. This is the same individual that was previously involved with Hyperfirm and is a registered sex offender that has NO PLACE in this community any longer. This information has been verified by Legion command through FISD leadership utilizing public records and was supposed to have been disseminated to all Detachment Staff. @Punisha @Airborne Trooper, please add them to the below list of vendors to avoid for blasters - ideally anyone searching their name ONLY finds the recommendation NOT to purchase from them on Legion boards. You can PM me if you have pressing concerns but please DO NOT purchase from this individual, and any posts that recommend/link their page should be removed. Thank you.

  26. Hey everyone, this is just for fun: I can still remember seeing this picture and I always loved it, although the Tusken Raider as a character was never that appealing to me, but when a friend of mine who is also a member of the MEPD and our little Rancor Hunters Squad, Markus Zeitvogel, started making his own kits, I wanted to try it... and man do I appreciate this character now. Building the helmet was so much fun. I am not going to do the full costume but now I have a helmet should I ever want to do the Sandtrooper in Tusken Raider disguise. I have actually tried to build this helmet emulating the Hero Tusken portrayed by stunt coordinator Peter Diamond. Here´s a pic of most parts of the kit: Here´s a screengrab: And here´s my finished helmet: And here ist the Sandtrooper in disguise (I should have added some kind of robes too but I could still do that): Cheers mates

  27. Hello Alex, As I already mentioned: - fix the right shoulder bell - Abdomen higher - Belt higher and fix it - Tighter at the bottom of the thighs - shorten the Mortar Tube - for a better look, change the shoulder Pouch against a canvas pouch and the left Pouch of the Hip against an accurate one. Regards, Thomas

  29. Hi Alex and welcome to the dirty side. I really like your weathering, looks great. At a first glance I would recommend shortening the inside strapping from the chest to the abdomen, the abdomen should sit a little higher up inside the chest. I think your armor suits you well but the thighs should be more tapered towards the knee to follow the natural shape of your leg. Cheers mate and have fun browsing the MEPD forum, heaps of great info to be found here.

  34. Hi Julien, welcome to the sandpit, good to have you here. Don't worry about your English, it's great. Many of us here actually come from different countries, English not being our mother tongue. You will find heaps of valuable info in the different threads here, so take your time to browse the forums and have fun. The Sandtrooper also wasn't my first costume but I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be a Sandtrooper once. Cheers mate!
