  3. Hello all. Being inspired by Felices work with real sterling parts for his last bapty build. I’ve been collecting the parts and working on a real parts Tunisian DLT. So far I’ve got.. Grips from Latvia Cooling jacket with front and rear sights from canada, and a flashhider from the US. The next step was the wood. I got the measurements from a plastic empire cast, which when I compared the jacket’s, was extremely close. Thumbs up to them! To hold the jacket, I used a 3/4” dowel that was squared to fit into the wood layers. Then left a notch to insert the handle.. didn’t have the grips at the time. The dowel holds the weight very well, but because of an area of the mg that sticks out on the left side.. another notch in the wood. This kept the jacket from spinning, But there was nothing to hold it from pulling away from the body. I really wanted something from the original parts to be functional, so I added a aluminum bar with... another notch.. to work with the sliding pin lock at the base of the jacket. Works great, and very happy with it. The grips came and the handles were shaped and installed with glue and a two off set screws. The numb on the bottom will not have a hole to match the DLT references we have. Finished the handle today, but there is tape on it, so I’ll post picks and descriptions of it tomorrow. There is still plenty of work to be done, and with the 1940 stamped bipod is on its way from Poland, there will definitely be a lot more pics to come. Here are the two reference pics, and some interesting MG34 info. Thanks for reading. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  5. I'd like to take a quick moment and thank everyone for their hardwork in getting this CRL done. I'm excited to see a few of you already have this armor complete and ready to be approved. You guys will be the first in a long line of awesome costumes. I'm super excited that this costume will be joining our detachment.
  6. OK
  7. I know you're using the original strapping method but you can add some snaps on the inside and use some elastic. The tension will help keep it in place

  9. Welcome aboard HappyTrooper!
  10. The pictures are being photoshop'd at the moment. Should not be long now.
  11. I had them longer originally but then there was too much room between my body and the front/back plates. The chest usually sits fine over the abdomen, not like in the photo. I’ll keep an eye on it though. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Make longer straps that connect the front and back plates over your shoulders and it'll allow more clearance.
  13. How is the status of the CRL right now? Can we see the design again?
  14. Welcome to the new recruits!
  15. Sweet! Glad my meddling did some good!
  16. Thanks! Looking forward to be in the sandbox! Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

  26. Welcome Juho! Good luck on your build, keep us posted on your progress. Looking forward to meeting you in the sandbox.
  27. Hello and thanks for accepting me. I'm Juho from Uppsala, Sweden and Ive been scouting around here for some time. Had the 501st Legion in my mind for several years now. So now I'm waiting for my RS Propmasters Sandtrooper armor to arrive. Well i went for the full commission this time. So hopefully i can be a proud member in the near future and go trooping.
  28. Is there a specific measurement from the center ridge to the out side edge on the shoulder bells? I can see a molding line on one side, but it is not visible on the other. Worried about trimming too much. Thanks for your guidance Asher
  29. Awesome, thanks for the pictures everyone.
